If this Mos Eisley piece count information is true, I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. Why is it that the Star Wars Lego line produces so few impressive location sets (like the Ewok Village, for example)? Mostly they seem to develop these 300-piece playsets, and they reserve the show pieces almost exclusively for vehicles. I'd love some larger, more involved locations from the Star Wars world.

It's totally fine either way, but I'll tell you this: if you trust me, you should trust that piece count. I have quite a bit of faith in it.

Agree 100%. LEGO needs to find a middle ground between these dinky playsets like Maz Kanata's Palace and the oversized ones like Assault on Hoth. The Scarif Bunker was fairly reasonable, but still way under-scaled. Really hoping the new Cantina can merge with the previous set to form a larger set.

To clarify: 75208 Yoda's Home will be an April release. There has never been any doubt about that.

When did this information was revealed? Grievous speeder set isn't TLJ but it's listed on instructions. As much as I don't want Yodas hut to be retail exclusive it seems this way for now.

I'm not guessing. I'm 100% sure. Nearly every retail site has it listed separately from 75193-75202.

Thanks for the info @Azani - but the part count does sound a little disappointing.

However,it could be designed to compliment 75173, plus the new 75198 Tattoine Battle Pack, which could work well together.  For around 400 parts it could be similar to 75171 - Battle on Scarif, plus there's always the option to buy in multiples if it isn't that expensive :classic:

The retail exclusives are 75203 (currently unknown), 75204 (Sandpeeder), and 75205 (Cantina). Besides, Yoda's Home can't be a retail exclusive, it was in the leaked catalog.

Side note - before anyone asks, I don't know for sure that 75203 is a retail exclusive. However, there's always 3 (Target, Toys R Us, and Walmart), and that's the only set number we know of that it could fit into. I don't think it would be after the Solo sets in terms of its number.

Thank you; and yeah, I'm a little surprised by the part count as well. I would suspect that we'll get something with some of those large curved walls like what we saw in 75169, but that's just a guess. If there isn't a Landspeeder, then that would help as well.

@Commodore Thrawn I think that you mean that 75203 is unknown and that 75204 is the Sandspeeder. :)

Yep! I don't know how I made that mistake . Thanks for telling me!

Active know what the deal is with the First Order AT-ST set is? Is it being released along with the others or not? I assume they didn't put it in the official release because spoilers.

Given that Walmart's exclusive Landspeeder was nearly identical to the version included in 2014's Cantina combo set, I'd bet that LEGO broke up the set and pitched the Landspeeder and Cantina as a pair of lower-cost, recycled exclusives to Walmart. Cheaper for Walmart since they trade mostly at the low end of the market, and cheaper for LEGO since they don't have to design new sets.

The 2014 combo set was 615 pieces. The 2017 Landspeeder was 149, of which 125 were devoted to the actual landspeeder build. That means the 2014 combo set had ±490 pieces devoted to the Cantina, Vaporator, Minifigs, and Dewback. Assuming the 2018 Cantina has 376 pieces, that would be consistent with the 2014 set minus the landspeeder, drawback, vaporator, and ~4 minifigs. My guess is the new Cantina comes with just Han, Greedo and Wuher, and maaaaaybe the two sandtroopers that were recently leaked... but I also think those could end up in yet another small set with the Dewback. Otherwise, the new Cantina would have to substantially smaller/simpler than the old one.

With TRU in bankruptcy, I wouldn't be surprised if they forgo exclusives next year... I hope I'm wrong about that, as TRU exclusives have been pretty good this year (e.g., Bricktober).

Couldn't agree more with this assessment.

I've long been a proponent for more playset or location-style sets in the Star Wars theme. Not only do they represent gaps in the current line (Cloud City, Naboo, Kamino, etc.), but those sets are just generally more interesting IMO. Glad to see the Yoda's Hut and another Cantina are on the way -- however undersized they may be.

How do you know this ?

He's going off of my statement (and that of Stash), and I'm one hundred percent sure that it's happening in the first half of 2018. I've seen clear evidence of the set's existence, and I've heard details on it from several very reliable folks. As it is, I'm not going into specifics on who's who, but anyone with doubts is free to discuss their concerns with me in a private setting. :)

Well I don't know anything but in 2016 they released 75138: Hoth Attack and then later in the year followed up with 75098: Assault on Hoth. So I don't think that this info proves that a larger cantina sets isn't coming, it just gives a potential source for the leaked minifigs so it neither makes a larger d2c more or less likely (unless we know what the d2cs are and I am a bit slow on the uptake).

I've heard from a few people that we are going to get a clone battlepack in late 2018. Is there any good source to confirm this?

The catalog that leaked a while back confirms that the Clone/Jedi battle pack, Yoda's Home, and the Solo sets release in April 2018.

Also, 100th post!!

I think April is going to be a bad time for my purse ?

(Also congrats on 100!)

Yeah I was wondering about that, too. If TRU does go belly up - what would happen to all those Lego kits that are store exclusives? Although... since you can also buy said kits at the official Lego store they don't really meet the definition of exclusive, do they?

Maybe the new small piece count cantina set offers the missing half of what we got in 2014!!  Although if we don't get Doctor Cornelius Evazan and Ponda Baba this time... I'm not sure when? In what set would they be more appropriate to be released?

Guys, I'm sorry for being really new here, but where can you find the catalog online?

Hey, not a problem, man. To be honest, it's certainly a little tough to find photographs of the copy of the Q1/Q2  retailer catalog online by now, since a few months have passed since it was initially published. That being said, a quick Google search for "lego 2018 catalog star wars" should get you somewhere.
