WesternOutlaw Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Check out this expanded/Dwarves' Mine MOC that I found on MOC Pages. It's really slick. Moc Pages with Pictures As I look at it though, I can't help to think that it looks a little like my stacked Wild West mine from the Grave Stone collection: Share your thoughts. EDIT: I'm having trouble linking to the picture, but the MOC Pages Link does work. In addition, it appears that others have build some Castle-themed mines. This one appears to be a contest entry: Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Wow, that's great *wub* Love how it looks unstable and fastly made (but not from an MOC perspective ;-) ). The rock formations look great, and I love how the bottom is water, although the waterfall could've been done better with some white added. Overall a beautiful MOC (as is the second one *sweet* ), nice find Brickster *y* Quote
Cardinal Brick Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I love the rickety look of the rail tracks, looks like they could fall down at any moment. If the dwarf from the second level was also running it would look a bit like an old episode of Scooby-Doo. The brick build ladder next to the jetty is a very nice touch. The waterfall and rock formations are very well done. Ok I can Quote
nausicaakro Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 very good find, now i wish to have my dwarfen mine... *wub* nausicaakro Quote
Pate-keetongu Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 very nice moc. I love those train tracks, but best part is the small harbour. also looks sturdy *y* . and I love dwarves.... Quote
Brainbox Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I like it, it's nice. It's nice and detailed, but relatively compact. I mean, it's not that wide, is it? The rocks are nice, the tracks are even nicer, and the dwarves are fantastic as ever (wish I had some). It's kind of 'fun' as well, which is good. I want to try something like this now... Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I saw this on BS yesterday, very cool! *y* It really looks like an old, unstable mine. Thanks for sharing Brickster! Quote
Batbrick Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Nice find TheBrickster! I really like the top one, the rickety, thrown-together-in-a-hurry-for-gold look is really effective. Little details like the dick and ladder at the bottom make it much better, and the little Orc invasion gives it some action. The rocks are my main criticism, they look fine but by the top they just seem flat, not really cave-like. Apart from that this is a very nice moc, I might try something like this one day (and no doubt fail). Batbrick Something! *wacko* Quote
TheFrisian Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Great find! I really like both MOCs! *sweet* The first one I like because it is such a well executed concept. Even though it appears to be very shaky and unstable, the MOC has a very original and quality feel to it. The second one is less well built, but has a more underground atmosphere to it, which very much appeals to me. Quote
zouave Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Those are all awesome. *y* *y* *y* for all of them. Quote
Derek Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Theyre all great, but the firstone is a little bland, but cool! Dp8 Quote
iamded Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Great finds, Brickster! I love the first one, how the tracks slope like they do! It looks great! *y* ~Peace Quote
LuxorV Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 That's great *wub* *y* *wub* It somewhat remainds me of a certain Indy movie... Thanks for sharing, TheBrickster *y* LuxorV Quote
