FreeBee Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 (edited) Rebuild the 10017 into two 2-axles: The difference is that one has a broom and the other a spade. Edited February 2, 2008 by Sinner Quote
simonwillems Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 (edited) Nice! You saved the bulky look of the original set and yet made it into a quite subtile carriage, good work. That is a fine locomotive as well, by the way! So with one large waggon it's possible to build two identical smaller ones... *y* One thing I noticed is that you put in the wrong setnumber, but that can be solved right away. EDIT: I pixelarted together my trains as well, fantastic! Edited January 30, 2008 by simonwillems Quote
FreeBee Posted January 30, 2008 Author Posted January 30, 2008 Thanx for the comments. *sweet* And stupid of me to use the wrong setnumber lol. Ill ask a admin to fix it. So with one large waggon it's possible to build two identical smaller ones... No its not possible. You can make one and a half. To make too you need some extra parts. I orded then through ldd. :-$ If people want i can make instructions and a list of the extra parts. Quote
PaulC Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I like this a lot. As soon as I saw it, I immediately started to wonder how I could do this with my hopper wagons. A list of extra parts would be very useful. As for the instructions, I'm sure I can work it out! Quote

FreeBee Posted January 30, 2008 Author Posted January 30, 2008 Here is the list of extra parts you need to make 2 smallhoppers: 2 x 8 x 10 x 4 x 2 x 2 x 1 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 4 x Hope u all like it. P.S. I also used 4 off 2 on each wagon to make the construction more sturdy. Quote

FreeBee Posted February 5, 2008 Author Posted February 5, 2008 I made an MCA (Multi Color Alternate). *wacko* Because some people would like to see the alternate model for the 10017 in other colors, I made some pictures you can color in yourself. and and Just print them and get your crayons out .................. *sweet* Have fun with it :-P Quote
Brickthus Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Rebuild the 10017 into two 2-axles:The difference is that one has a broom and the other a spade. Nice! I went two ways from the wagons in that series of sets. The first way was to make a 2-axle version of the tanker, without changing the body size, using the same wheel turning technique underneath as these tube wagons: Tube Wagons The second way was to build some bogie hoppers whose doors work on a similar basis to the 10017 ones, but making scale models of Railtrack Hoppers These hoppers can each carry and discharge 1400 1x1 round plates of ballast. The workers don't use a spade because they have to stand well clear when so much ballast is discharged! I plan to add the diesel engine, which powers the doors on the real wagons, to one of the rake of five wagons that I built. Mark Quote
