Weird indeed. I can edit the words of the signature, but I cannot see the image itself. I cannot add any new image nor remove it.

I go to 'Edit Profile', scroll down to the signature. There's 'drag files here to attach' but no option to edit or delete an already attached file.

I am looking at this on a Mac ?

All of City's upcoming "Mars Mission" sets have just leaked on IG as catalog preliminaries. If you ask me, they're a lot more Sci-Fi in aesthetic than you guys may have ever expected from City sets! *  

* No colored canopies as far as I can tell though.

Hmm...I've been waiting for these pictures in order to plan my summer purchases, so here's what I think so far.  On the one hand, I'm disappointed by the simplicity and lack of realism in some of the builds.  I don't really like the rover or the large shuttle.  On the other hand, aren't sets like this exactly what you and I have been wanting for years?  I've mentally committed to buying the whole line months ago, the only question has been whether or not to also get the 2011 City Space line and this summer's Sluban Mars line.  I was really hoping that the Lego line would be so similar to the Sluban line that I wouldn't want both, but it looks like that'll be my first clone brand purchase, despite the fact that I'll also get the Lego sets.  The large rocket is pretty cool.  I'm surprised to see just how explicitly it's a minifig playscale version of SLS; I didn't expect Lego to do that.  The set titled Moon Base in Brickset is definitely the highlight of the line: it's an orbital space station loosely modeled on the Deep Space Gateway/Lunar Orbital Platform, in Lego, for minifigs!  That's definitely breaking new ground for Lego!  A must buy for sure.  I've been holding off on buying extra copies of 31066 Shuttle Explorer in case the Moonbase and Rover from the summer sets were basically rehashed of the B and C models from that set, but that's not the case at all.  Finally, I expected to see the white NASA torso that leaked a few days ago in a commemorative minifig in one of the City sets.  I don't, so now what I'm cautiously hoping for is that the unknown Creator Expert vehicle code named Discovery and numbered 10269 might be an Apollo Lunar Module, despite the rumors that it's a Harley Davidson motorcycle.  Of course, that's just wish-listing right there.

All in all, it'll be an expensive summer!

So, do you guys remember that LEGO Ideas-hosted "Moments in Space" GWP contest that disappointed us all a couple of years ago?

 

@Digger of Bricks I've been wondering about that one from time to time, to the point I thought it was cancelled. Cute set I suppose, but very bad decision in the light of the contest theme. The City space sets stellar; out of this world ! That mini space station...  The shuttle looks fresh, though oddly similar in general shape/colours to the upcoming jet from Spiderman. Imo the sets really love up to the speculation in this thread.

Interesting take on Space for sure, at least 2 sets seem to have moved further upon the concept of the 2017 3-in-1 Shuttle/Vehicle builds.

Also gives me some 1999 Town Space vibes in some designs. (shiny gold hexagon dome is back)

Now I can't say this is a must-have subtheme for me, but it's nice to fill the variation.

Mars, Moon, the only difference would be the table cloth used to display these sets. Heck they could be on Europa or Titan. Just because the box mentions Mars doesn’t mean we’re stuck with that rusty old planet ?

Oh I know, I just find it amusing that they literally took this subtheme "above and beyond" my expectations for such an extraterrestrial venture, given City's context and all. As for my hopes for a Lunar Exploration subtheme next time around, technically the look the sets can be affected by the setting they decide upon, as the Orange and White color scheme for the upcoming sets is very typical within other hypothetical depictions of Martian Expeditions. Just think of Lego's Mars Mission from 2007 and Ridley Scott's The Martian from 2015. A Lunar Expedition, on the other hand, might have ended up with a different color scheme and look for both the astronauts and their spacecraft.

Thing is I'm so desperate for a decent sci-fi space theme, that I don't care what colour it is, as long as it's good! (and I can't be the only one)

That's the thing, I feel like the seeming Lunar setting for Lego's original Classic Space sets could've influenced the look of a Lunar Expedition subtheme for City in some way, much like how Lego's Mars Mission and Ridley Scott's The Martian seemingly influenced the look of these upcoming sets. Like you suggest, it could've been as simple as mere Blue highlights for both the figures and their spacecraft as opposed to Orange.

Hey, believe me, I'm not at all complaining, as I'm quite happy to see the City theme actually head this direction like I've long suggested!

Yes the new submission. It’s a massively revamped version of the old one, but the construction, gribbling and internal designs are different enough to warrant the “new” monicker ?
