sander1992 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Hi everyone, This is the first time I post something in the Town section of Eurobricks. In februari was an event in the south of the Netherlands. At the event was an project to stimulate people to build their own modular houses. I created two houses for this project. The lower house has an jewelry and a food store. At the second floor are two apartments for students. The other house has an furniture shop and on the first floor is an apartment. On the streets are Daleks causing panic to the locals. The Doctor and Clara are running towards the passage. A weeping angel sees al the action on the streets and another weeping angel has located the TARDIS. Here is a picture of the two houses. Here is a picture of the two shops of the lower house. More pictures are in the Flickr Album. Modular Houses Questions and feedback are welcome. Sander P.S. I was not sure if I should post this in Town or in Licenced forum. Quote
LAKAbricks Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Great buildings, you have made, Sander. Nice combinations of colours and good details. Like the two smaller buildings, seemingly alike and yet different. And I like the relief with the Weeping Angel on the red building. It is not often we see details like that. Quote
Wout Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 That looks splendid. I seconded the comments on the relief. It looks very good. The weeping angel is a great fig for this sort of decorations. Pity they are part of a licensed line and are difficult to get more of them. Quote
sander1992 Posted April 24, 2017 Author Posted April 24, 2017 Thank you for the comments. Yes, the Weeping Angel was a must for the decoration. I was glad I got an extra Doctor Who Ideas set with the sale in januari. Quote
peedeejay Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 These look pretty cool. I like the massive look of the right building, even though I think I little less gray would have looked better. Quote
sander1992 Posted April 26, 2017 Author Posted April 26, 2017 I can't disagree with you there. More dark red would have looked better, but I did not have that much dark red during the build. Thank you for your comment. Quote
sander1992 Posted May 1, 2017 Author Posted May 1, 2017 The photo's are in a Brickshelf gallery as well. Gallery modular houses Enjoy! Quote

I dont think he means use more dark red, but rather break up all of the light grey on the front with another color...like dark grey. Edited May 1, 2017 by gotoAndLego Quote
sander1992 Posted May 4, 2017 Author Posted May 4, 2017 Oh, that makes sense as well. I did not use dark bluish grey, because the combination of dark red en light bluish grey looks better (I think). Perhaps it is worth to try in my next modular. Quote
