Aventador2004 Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 (edited) this is my second attempt at the warrior supercar. it is a Wip and will be untill my lego part order arrives. I would like to incorporate these features: 1. Hog / servo. 2. Double wishbone suspension with twin rear shocks. 3. Gearbox : canceled. 4. Working (fake) engine. 5. Sporty bodywork. 6. Functional steering wheel. note: this is a fictional car so it will be easier to customize. Edited May 1, 2017 by Aventador2004 Quote

DugaldIC Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 It would be cool if you were to keep a gearbox, I'd also suggest a four-speed to keep it narrower or use something along the lines of @Didumos69 sequential gearbox in his most recent hammer head build. That way you still have a narrow centre and gearbox. Also try Sariels scaler, take a modern supercar and put it in for a try it'll give you accurate proportions which make a big difference in the overall appearance! keep it up, take your time you'll get there. Aventador2004 Posted April 27, 2017 Author Posted April 27, 2017 Good news!! I managed to fit in a gearbox. Gear knob (apologies for color vomit. Lego order has not arrived.) Sorry for bad quality. Engine coming. Quote
Aventador2004 Posted April 29, 2017 Author Posted April 29, 2017 Another update: a custom engine is needed, or gearbox resize, Which one should I chose? Quote
syclone Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 (edited) Custom engine would be better. I've archieved very good results using this method ( nevermind the chassis). Those are cams with 1/4 pins on top as pistons. the downside is that it doesn't work upside down, hovewer , a V-type engine is possible. Also , 2l axles with half-bushes can be used as pistons: Edited April 30, 2017 by LXF Quote
Aventador2004 Posted April 30, 2017 Author Posted April 30, 2017 I think I can fit a regular engine now, I already made a gearbox 3 studs tall so it should fit now. Quote

Aventador2004 Posted May 1, 2017 Author Posted May 1, 2017 A lot of things have changed: I think I will make a new topic a different topic, and will convert the car to rc. Quote
