I am not sure if there is a turorial but before I check:

It is simple! If you use the reply box there should be a little icon that looks like a chain link with a + on it. Click it and a prompt box appears, copy the web address you want to link to and paste it into the correct line in the prompt box and hit OK.

If you want it to be tidier you can write some words to become the link My MOC for example. Highlight them and then hit the icon and paste the address in and hit ok.

If you are using the other editor you can type in the below (with your URL substituted in of course)

I copied the pics from flickr the same way as I did for my intro topic, but it just shows the text. just for kicks I copied one of the pics directly from one of the images in the topic, and that one shows up.

Am I missing something here?

I've spent a while trying to embed a Youtube Video in my post, and have been unable to. For some reason, it just disappears.

Do you use Internet Explorer? Try compatibility mode or a different browser if possible. Board software and IE do not play nice.

Are you using the special media code? In the specail BB code dropdown, select media and paste the URL into the prompt box.

This is what you'll get.

If this isn't working, I'm not sure what to suggest!

It didn't work, I did it exactly as you described, and it just comes up as the code you showed above, but with no video. I'm also using Firefox, if that will help you make suggestions.

Okay, but, does it post out as the video? Unlike pictures, if you use the dialogue box it does not show the video until you submit the reply/post. Otherwise, there might be some issue with the URL you have chosen?

Try a copy/paste of the code from my post into your own, then hit reply.

If that works then it might be the URL for your media isn't co-operating.

To post a video all you have to do is post the URL to the video and the forum software automatically embeds it. Make sure to use the HTTP not the HTTPS address.

If it's not showing up, be sure your video isn't marked to private on Youtube.

I figured out what I did wrong. The video won't preview, but it will embed as soon as you finish editing the post. I hope this will help help other people.

Hello! Newbie here and I need help. I've been trying to post 3 pictures of 27KB each at the Town Forum but I keep getting an upload error for 2 of the files yesterday. I tried redoing everything today and not even a single one would upload. Instead of an upload error message, I got this:

You can upload up to Uploading is not allowed of files (Max. single file size: 10MB)

Is there a reason why I am not allowed to upload? Let me know. Thanks! :)

No one is allowed to upload images to Eurobricks, as we are a forum not an image host. There are a lot of popular choices for online photo hosts so choose one you like and you can upload images there and link them to posts here on Eurobricks.

Sorry, I think I wasn't clear with the terminologies ... By "upload image", I meant "Attach File". I was able to attach 4 pictures in a previous post I made in the City Forum last week, but for some reason I am unable to attach pictures in a new post I was creating.

Here's what's currently appearing in my view when I create a post in the forum ... Is there a limit to attaching files for a newbie like me? Let me know. Thanks!

Thanks for clarifying, Bob. I must have used up the 100kb with the pictures I have attached previously. I will check out the tutorial so I can post my MOC pictures on flickr to EB.
