Peppermint_M Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 I am not sure if there is a turorial but before I check: It is simple! If you use the reply box there should be a little icon that looks like a chain link with a + on it. Click it and a prompt box appears, copy the web address you want to link to and paste it into the correct line in the prompt box and hit OK. http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=102678 The link appears. If you want it to be tidier you can write some words to become the link My MOC for example. Highlight them and then hit the icon and paste the address in and hit ok. My MOC If you are using the other editor you can type in the below (with your URL substituted in of course) [url="http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=102678"]http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=102678[/url] Or [url="http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=102678"]My MOC[/url] For one with a tidier name. Hope this helps! Quote
LEGO_researcher Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Hello! I'm a Master's student and long-time LEGO fan from Denmark, and I'm currently doing research on the LEGO Ideas platform. I have a survey about it that I want to share with many people. So far I haven't had much luck, though. Therefore I'm wondering if it's allowed to start a thread on this forum entirely for that purpose? And if so, where should I put it? Thank you so much in advance! Quote

LEGO_researcher Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Ok, try now! It's still not possible :( But no worries - I'll just reach the 10 posts manually and then send you a PM. There are many interesting discussions that I want to participate in anyway! Quote

Dohed44 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 For some reason my pictures aren't displaying correctly in my entry thread for the [TC5] contest. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101578&st=25#entry2066119 I copied the pics from flickr the same way as I did for my intro topic, but it just shows the text. just for kicks I copied one of the pics directly from one of the images in the topic, and that one shows up. Am I missing something here? Quote

keiththelegokid Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Hypatheticly how would one get a bionicle tag? Quote
Peppermint_M Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Tags are awarded by staff. The Usergroups and Tags thread has more. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I've spent a while trying to embed a Youtube Video in my post, and have been unable to. For some reason, it just disappears. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Do you use Internet Explorer? Try compatibility mode or a different browser if possible. Board software and IE do not play nice. Are you using the special media code? In the specail BB code dropdown, select media and paste the URL into the prompt box. This is what you'll get. [media]http://youtu.be/nepQuVNFtfo[/media] If this isn't working, I'm not sure what to suggest! Quote
Saberwing40k Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 It didn't work, I did it exactly as you described, and it just comes up as the code you showed above, but with no video. I'm also using Firefox, if that will help you make suggestions. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Okay, but, does it post out as the video? Unlike pictures, if you use the dialogue box it does not show the video until you submit the reply/post. Otherwise, there might be some issue with the URL you have chosen? Try a copy/paste of the code from my post into your own, then hit reply. If that works then it might be the URL for your media isn't co-operating. Quote
Darkdragon Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 To post a video all you have to do is post the URL to the video and the forum software automatically embeds it. Make sure to use the HTTP not the HTTPS address. If it's not showing up, be sure your video isn't marked to private on Youtube. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I figured out what I did wrong. The video won't preview, but it will embed as soon as you finish editing the post. I hope this will help help other people. Quote
Eureka Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Hello! Newbie here and I need help. I've been trying to post 3 pictures of 27KB each at the Town Forum but I keep getting an upload error for 2 of the files yesterday. I tried redoing everything today and not even a single one would upload. Instead of an upload error message, I got this: You can upload up to Uploading is not allowed of files (Max. single file size: 10MB) Is there a reason why I am not allowed to upload? Let me know. Thanks! :) Quote
Peppermint_M Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 No one is allowed to upload images to Eurobricks, as we are a forum not an image host. There are a lot of popular choices for online photo hosts so choose one you like and you can upload images there and link them to posts here on Eurobricks. Quote

Sorry, I think I wasn't clear with the terminologies ... By "upload image", I meant "Attach File". I was able to attach 4 pictures in a previous post I made in the City Forum last week, but for some reason I am unable to attach pictures in a new post I was creating. Here's what's currently appearing in my view when I create a post in the forum ... Is there a limit to attaching files for a newbie like me? Let me know. Thanks! Attach Files You can upload up to Uploading is not allowed of files (Max. single file size: 10MB) Try our advanced uploader (requires Flash 9) Quote

As Peppermint said, Eurobricks is not an image host. Uploading / attaching files isn't allowed, but there is a 100kb limit to allow people to upload their avatar. Your previous upload must have used this limit. You should consider using a image hosting site like Brickshelf or Flickr. We have tutorials to help you post pictures on EB from various hosting sites. I must have used up the 100kb with the pictures I have attached previously. I will check out the tutorial so I can post my MOC pictures on flickr to EB. Happy Holidays! Quote
Tariq j Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) Hello all, I've just created an account for Brickshelf and every time I try and login it says "login failed" yet the password and username are correct, anyone know how to solve this? EDIT: No need, figured it out. Edited January 4, 2015 by Tariq j Quote
m0dulo Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I cant pm people whats wrong? The answer is in the first post (second item) of this thread. You need ten posts before you can send PMs. Your post was your tenth so it should work ok now. Quote
