jimmynick Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 I've noticed there's a Social Media tab in the site's navigation bar, but something else seems different. Can't quite put my finger on it but did the links under Portal, Forum, etc. get rearranged? Quote

Admin did a little shuffle to take out the bits that were superfluous and added the new social media tab. Quote
Renegade Clone Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Could someone kindly let me know how to insert an instagram post into a forum post? Quote

cosmic Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 (edited) A few bulletin points of help needed. 1. how do I quote, in my phone, select pieces of someones post? Lets say I want to reply to a comment point by point and I’m quoting, right now the quote button on my phone has me responding to the entire comment, how can I cut comments into pieces and quote them that way, on a phone? 2. Link to the tutorial for attaching images using imgur? Edited December 1, 2020 by cosmic Quote

Link to the tutorial for attaching images using imgur? For part 1, when browsing the forum on you phone, if you press the part you want to quote within the body of text, it should provide a highlight tool and a little pop-out to "Quote this". Of course, this is what I find while using Chrome on my Android phone. 2. I don't think we have a specific tutorial for imgur. But I will take a look to see what to do... EDIT: Ok, so I found the image on imgur, followed the thumbnail to the main image page, copied the image link and pasted it here in the post. Quote
Lira_Bricks Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 (edited) Sometimes I get a notification "X has started following you", and it is always the same person. I already send X a message, but X told me they didn't do it. Is this a bug? Edit: X let me know they found the issue and fixed it. Edited December 7, 2020 by Lira_Bricks Got an update from X Quote
nerdsforprez Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 I am trying to clear old photos I have added. But there is no delete button, or at least not that I can see. How can I clear old photos I have added attached to threads in the forum? Quote

Staff can delete attachments, but I have only ever gotten it to work from the original post. Quote
nerdsforprez Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Hmm... sorry its not possible. I attached them from mocpages, which I am sure you know is now dead. I know there used to be a function where one could delete them themselves, I guess that is no longer an option? I remember back in the day simply deleting my own posts when my attachments eclipsed my allowed space... Quote
cosmic Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Besides placing it as spam, is there an effective way to not get email notifications every time someone posts? I have gotten emails cluttering my inbox from eurobricks simply if someone (not replying to me) commented on a thread I also commented on. Is there any way to shut off emails from eurobricks besides marking it as spam? Quote

Uh, I mean the forum posts here on EB, If you deeplinked them then you can edit them out, if you have uploaded them in a post you made using the attachment feature staff need to delete them. I think something was changed when Invision updated software, but it means only staff can fully delete them. Quote
Lira_Bricks Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Two questions: 1. How can I get rid of the "Your Eurobricks Forums digest"? In eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/notifications/options/ the only things that are selected are "Automatically follow new content I post" and "Do not send me notifications". It has been this way since a few days ago, but I still get those e-mails. 2. Is it possible to add a button that lets me edit the HTML or markup of comments? This WYSIWYG-editor is reeeeeaaaaaly buggy, and I already had to modify my text in the browsers element inspector before. Quote

If you don't want to get any notifications, click your profile at the top right corner and then click manage followed content. Hope it helped :) Quote

Haha, that is not what I meant but I understand the confusion. What I meant is that there is a page for default notificationsettings, eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/notifications/options/, and there is the page where your current notifications are listed, eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/followed/. I assumed only the first page existed, and changing things there would have an effect on all already existing notification-subscriptions :) Quote

You can edit out the content by editing the first post. You could report your thread and request it is removed due to mistakes. Or link it here and we can move it away. Quote
