Thank you :) As for the smaller engines: First remove the barrel (engine). Then add a few bricks to the round platform. On top of the bricks place a plate with a hinge brick on top. When you place a plate on the hinge brick you can see how much higher the platform needs to be before adding the barrel again. In terms of plates you can look at pictures what I have used :) To make everything easier you can build the entire structure in hand. I did the that and went back and forth a few times adding it to the ship to get the correct height and shape.

Much thanks for your advice!

Will see how I can do that, the other challenge is to get the bricks in the old light grey as my 10030 is in that colour! :)

Hehe, great to hear! My kid wants to be in the lego room all the time - pulling the wings off my X-wing. I hope he gets more friendly with time :)

I understand your dilemma, I did not use too many rare part here so you should be able to find most of it in old grey. The minifig hands could be a bit hard to find if you decide to use those as well.

Yes sir! I don't intend to fully copy your build  since I have already modded the rear of my 10030 with brickbuilt engines but what I did not do was the really nice smaller engines' build that you have done. That is the area that I would like to try to emulate!

Looks awesome, well done. How many minifig binoculars were used in the build?

Probably more than 100. I have used more than 250 minifig arms btw ;)

I've been following your updates on IG over the past months and patiently waiting for the write-up on Eurobricks. May the 4th, you sneaky bugger haha.

This creation of yours is absolutely phenomenal, well done sir! I'm sure I'll re-visited this thread many many times :)

I built my Star Destroyer to that same scale, and I thought there couldn’t be any more details to be added at this size. Then you come and take that scale to a new level and you manage to put loads of impossible details in it, and this requires a true genius builder.

I can’t wait to see what you’d do with the bottom side and the docking bays.

Thank you :)

To be honest, your model captures the bottom of the ship and the bays pretty perfectly. There is not much anyone can do that you haven't already done here :)

WHAAAT! No man, you’re the master here; the top side, greebles, bridge and engines area of your model is 100000000 times better than mine, there is absolutely no reason to think the bottom would be less impressive. I wish you built your model first so I could steel some of your ideas

@Khaled Yousef hehe :)

But in all honesty, the inside of your bays looks very much like what I have in mind, and I can see you have used many of the same bricks as I have bought for the area.

I don't know when I will get around to it though. I hope it will be this year, but I am not sure :)

What can be said other than WOW! Your ability to crank out one fantastic model after another is mind-boggling. Did I miss an estimated piece count? And where did you find hundreds of DBG minifig arms?

Stunning!!!

Yes, you missed it, I wrote 7000 - you better read it all again ;)

The minifig arms are LBG - they cost an arm and a leg (see what I did there?), but one seller had them in bulk :)

Congratulations mortesv, yet another masterpiece! I don't think there's any way that you could improve this; the level of detail is incredible!  The greebling around the engines is particularly eye-catching, with the mass of pipework all running towards the centre; it makes 10030 look a little inferior, to say the least!  Do you have any idea of the number of different part types?

I don't have a complete type count on this one because I made most of it in hand. I only used ldd to design test panels to figure out which parts looked convincing for detailing.

My guesstimate is around 400, but it could be higher :)

Thanks for the comments! I will consider consider making instructions - but right now I have another big project I am working on ;)

WOW, what a beast! The Star Destroyer is my favourite starship in Star Wars, and this is definitely one of the best builds of it i have seen so far! It doesn't look like lego in many places, and once you get used to busyness of the detail, it has a great effect.

This is so cool. It's the little details that make it too. Clever problem solving, great tessellation of those tiles and nice to see lots of different parts used in the greebling!

Can't believe I haven't seen this on Brothers Brick yet!

Finding the different parts for the greenling, was actually one of the things I enjoying most. For example, discovering all the ways minifig hands could be used was a real blast :D
