I have not seen a topic on this, so if there is, please do move or merge with an established topic.

Which AFOL community builders' work do you like or inspire you for your own projects/creations?

For me, there are many, but my two top favorites are JonHall18 and Vince Toulouse on Flickr. I think they both are the best builders in the Dieselpunk and Sky-fi genres (both favorites of mine), and Vincent's artistry with Lego parts make unique and fantastic art deco-esq vehicular craft.

I think JKbrickworks' Jason Allemann is a genius, but his work doesn't inspire me so much as fascinate me. I have a completely different style and could never make such amazingly functional stuff as his.

Yes, I like his work too! (mainly because of his great instructions) but I didn't mention him because he doesn't make many technic models .

There are a couple for me.

@Bob De Quatre who builds these awesome space builds, he's been on the front page a couple times and is an awesome mod as well.

@Ayrlego For his pirate ships along with @Bregir and a couple other guys from BoBS who I can't remember off the top of my head

@Dannylonglegs who along with being a fantastic builder is also a fabulous writer and wrote some of the best stories in AG

@Henjin_Quilones Mostly does heroica stuff, but I've also seen him in AG. He hit the front page a few weeks back.

These are the people I admire the most on Eurobricks. Check them out!

I don't really build much in microscale, preferring minifigure scale mostly; but I've been looking at this guy's work on Flickr, and now I'm reconsidering the possibilities. Fredoichi on Flickr does some amazing microscale creations in the Sky-fi, Mecha, and Starfighter genres that require a double take to see that they are actually microscale!

An amazing builder here on Eurobricks who's work here wows me ever time is @TheBrickBuilder14. He does some of the most compact but detailed minifigure scale renditions of Batmobiles I have ever seen.

Wow! Thank you very much for the high praise, very glad that you like my work so much :)

When surfing the web for creations, a particular niche space genre I search creations for is the GARC genre, made up of many different, colorful space racecraft. But so far, the three best MOC examples I've seen done are by Flickr user Sylon-tw, which I have shown and linked below.

I also consider him a great Sky-fi builder whose work with the genre ranks up there with other previously mentioned Flickr users Jonhall18 and Fredoichi. Here is some of his creations shown and linked below.

One of the most impressive CAD designers of Lego creations I've seen is Flickr user dunkleosteus_ldd, who creates some great Dieselpunk/Retrofuturistic designs, especially in the form of hovercars.

Here I have pictured below a few of his wild looking trikes and streamlined locomotives.

I should also give special mention to @Sunder, whose rendering work is also most excellent; and I particularly really dig his collection of Retrofuturistic locomotives, which I hope to see more of! :sweet:

From the top of my head, I think Paul Hetherington aka Brickbaron is definitely inspiring, and just about hits the nerve with his style, colors, ideas and originality  https://www.flickr.com/photos/14964802@N07/

I like builders who are all over the place, who get out of their comfort zones and do something new every time instead of sticking to one thing over and over.

Woah @AnalogPanda, that is a boatload! *oh2* Many of those builders I'm not even familiar with, I'll definitely check some of those out when I have some time.

Also, thanks @soccerkid6 for sharing that, I actually didn't know some of those guys were here on Eurobricks; especially @Xenomurphy, his 1920's style Arkham Asylum and Daily Planet are just amazing!

His work is great, I was certainly amazed by his Batman Theatre Showdown display when I first saw it on The Brothers Brick. :sweet:
