kreimkoek Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 (edited) The name is Bond, James Bond. Goldeneye the video game came out in July 1997 for the Nintendo 64 (developed by Rare). At that time it was a groundbreaking game. I have fond memories of playing this game's multiplayer. It has almost been 20 years since its release so I decided to recreate a scene of the game. I chose a scene of the mission in the Russian military archives where James Bond is locked up and interrogated. More pictures on my flickr page https://www.flickr.com/photos/118506643@N02/with/34778933725/ And a little video to set the mood Thanks for watching, comments are appreciated. Thanks. I played it recently to look for details and it still holds up. :) On 2017-5-20 at 10:19 PM, Borex said: This brings back memories. Nice! Thank you. Quote
lupogtiboy Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Wow this is superb! Really captures the look of the game perfectly. I need to dig this game out of storage and have a go now, have many fond memories of 4-player death matches! Quote
rodiziorobs Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Fantastic job! You nailed the look pretty well, from the positioning and posture of the guards to details like the armored door. (Obviously having the ceiling would complete the scene, but then you'd have to deal with the lighting issues, etc, so it's totally forgivable!) It's amazing how well the game still holds up, incidentally I was playing this with my kids just last night. Quote
peedeejay Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 This definitely brings back memories. Playing with 4 people on a small TV and fighting for the RC-P90. :) Great MOC! Quote
Vindicare Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 (edited) Wow, twenty years are coming up. This is the best FPS in my opinion. For me, campaign mode gets stale, which is why I rarely play them anymore. But this game was just amazing & so fun to play. Plus, it has something kids today won't really understand, talking sh!t to your friends-to their faces!- when you killed them. Hard to beat seeing that defeated look on their face. Oh geez, I got carried away there & forgot to commend you on this build. You recreated it perfectly as one can with LEGO. It definitely takes me back. I remember that room fondly. My intention with this build was to ignite some nostlagia among people, I am happy to have succeeded. :) On 2017-5-23 at 6:55 PM, rodiziorobs said: Fantastic job! I also remember Mario Kart 64 battle mode to be great with 4 players (blok fort :D ) On 2017-5-23 at 7:38 PM, Thebeeze111 said: So many memories.... Thank you! Thank you alot, I also think that the game still plays well, the single player campaign really was something special (great music too). Edited June 2, 2017 by kreimkoek Quote
thorin Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 Is it bad that as soon as I saw the pictures, the music from this scene began playing from the deep crevasses of my brain? Quote
