Now when I put my Bella (terrier) to sleep (like on my profile image), I'll make some notes about Unimog project... For model that I plan driving shaft goes from gearbox to differential at the side of engine, so all drivetrain is very low (real car is some 107cm heigh and with 5 liter engine in front of rear axle). Enjoy in your project development which has to be finished before 24 Hours race Quote

move5 Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 It would have been better if there were less gaps on the exterior. But still nice! Quote

If only I could be so fast in building my mocs, every-time something happens and leaves me with unfinished business for particular day, so I have to make to-do list over and over again... That is nice to see that builder is satisfied with work (of art) Quote

That is nice to see that builder is satisfied with work (of art) The gearbox was the point of my last supercar, I wanted a four speed, but I decided to make a two speed, and then I got the handbrake idea. That would be the point of no return, and I still am working, I just have not always been updating because I constantly rebuild new chassis. Quote

I know the feeling - when you need some changes to steering or gearbox, than very often chassis reconstruction is the only option - that is nature of evolution Quote
Aventador2004 Posted June 1, 2017 Author Posted June 1, 2017 Expect a update this afternoon, and new pictures, I think I am close to final on the chassis. The gearbox is flawlessly working now, and can hold but tires slip on cardboard. It holds 70 degrees with grip on wood. Quote

Aventador2004 Posted June 1, 2017 Author Posted June 1, 2017 UPDATE: the gearbox is fully installed, many features are added in already. the hog, steering connection, gearbox, engine, and suspension are in the car. New ideas: 1. make a lift with my new pneumatic kit, a outside lift as a extra add on to this moc. 2. add a version with a gt body kit, adding canards, spoiler, splitter. 3. semi modular body? To do: 1. add rear wing adjustment, using LA. 2. doors, worm+ gull wing. 3. body, aggressive. 4. hood+ storage, a trunk. 5. lights, and led area bonus. new version 5.0 too ambitious? what do you think? It looks very robust and sturdy, but at the same time it looks simple, Personally I don't think it is too ambitious. I forgot to mention that flat engine is very "original" idea and (from concept side of view) it reminds me on Mercedes C-292; the car for 24 Hours race Quote
Aventador2004 Posted June 3, 2017 Author Posted June 3, 2017 The Question: Do you want instructions for the final car? I want to know before I make them, only to find out nobody wants instructions for the final car. Quote
Aventador2004 Posted June 4, 2017 Author Posted June 4, 2017 check op for update. and new car plan. Quote

Aventador2004 Posted June 6, 2017 Author Posted June 6, 2017 Update this afternoon, I have found a 5 stud tall rear suspension idea for less stiffness and more ride height. Quote
Aventador2004 Posted June 10, 2017 Author Posted June 10, 2017 (edited) Sorry I missed updating, I finished the car, but a few tweaks to make. What it has now: Technical: 1. Steering, hog + interior. 2. Suspension, double wishbone. 3. Engine, working flat 6. 4. Gearbox, 2 speed+ park gearbox. 5. Reclining seats, using Mini linear actuator. Aesthetic: 1. Doors, scissor. 2. Roof, Targa with storage area. 3. Frunk, opens using a pin lock. 4. Rear wing, adjustable. 5. Rear engine cover, foldable. adjustable seats. wing adjusts. rear cover foldable. 2nd favorite shot. size shot. roof. and the panel. storage area. i like the body, but i need more flexes. Aventador2004 Posted June 12, 2017 Author Posted June 12, 2017 Something to add, should I make a power functions version? I could leave the gearbox and add a motorized gearswitch, driving, steering, and another function tbd. Quote
