Captain Ka-Boom Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 A gold flag wow! so many figs. I would only buy it for about $15-20 Australian. Quote
AgentRick Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Yay! more battlepacks! I might even get the Dwarf Key chain X-D ! Quote
Shakar Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 YES. Way to go Lego. You're on the right track. *y* Shakar Quote

Cardinal Brick Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I've been thinking on the price, my guess is that it would be in or around the price of Knights' Catapult Defense my reasoning is simple that had 4 minifigs (though two were skeletons) so one more and a few more bits and bobs should be about the same as a catapault. Anyone have and other ideas? Quote
blueandwhite Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I'm really hoping that these show up at Shop @ Home because they look like an amazing way to amass an army. The real selling point IMO is the healthy number of shields included with each pack. Given the seeming rarity of newer shields, it's nice to see that each one of these guys is properly equipped. The fact that the ebay auction for these guys had a buy now price of $15 makes me hopeful that the price will be hard to resist. If it's cheap enough I may snap up 20 or so to boost my Crownie army to a respectable number. The best part is that for those of us who aren't big on fantasy figs, we can forego the Skellies, while people who love that sort of thing can amass a huge army of undead foes without buying Crownies. This looks to be the best pure minifig pack LEGO has ever produced (for Castle fans anyways). Just imagine how much SW fans would freak out for something like this but with Storm Troopers. Quote

I find it funny that you say this, seeing as most fantasy fans love the Crownie faction. That aside, I agree with you, I love that I can make my skellie army to a certian size, and the same with the crownies. Hopefully a dwarf and troll one is introduced, that would be heaven... Lord Of Pies Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Yes!! I am surprised (in a good way!0 that TLC have done this, I shall buy several, I really like the minifigures, especially the brown crossbow and still nice shiny armour. Only bad side is I would have like a crownie horse as Well, but that is just me being fussy. Lego armies ON!! Quote
VBBN Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 (edited) Sweet! I live in the USA. But they seem glued, cause they are in one piece, not bagged up. Edited February 4, 2008 by ~VBBN~ Quote
Batbrick Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Sweet! I live in the USA. But they seem glued, cause they are in one piece, not bagged up. I doubt they are glued, how on earth could a skellie be glued together without removing all mobility? :-P Plus, the only reasons for gluing them would be if they contained magnets, which again i doubt, where on earth could a magnet go on a skellie? As for the crownies, I doubt they would do something different to the skellie pack. Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
natelite Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 wonder how TLC will price the BP set given that the chess set is $40. 24 for $40 (originally $50). I am guessing 5 MF for $12 max. anything more than $12 is probably overkill. would be sweet if it is 5 MF for $10. 20 for $40. woot. Quote

I hope it is vaguely cheap in England too, not jacked up prices like we sometimes get, for about Quote
TheFrisian Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 People have been wishing for more minifigs for ages, I'm glad to see that TLC has finally caught on! Let the army building begin! *wub* I do hope these battle packs are reasonably priced though... Quote
Johnny 5 Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Ok I officially cannot get anymore excited about 2008 than I am right now. MINIFIG PACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to be broke all year long, oh well its worth it. Quote
Kliq Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 These are too sweet! Unlike the older minifig packs, these revolve around a single faction, so those of us who don't want any more skeletons don't have to have them when we buy our beautiful crown soldiers. *wub* Quote
Lt. Veers Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Sweet! I live in the USA. But they seem glued, cause they are in one piece, not bagged up. I think a skellie would be hard to glue because of the way the joints are made. Quote
voltio Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Excellent! These are exactly the kind of 'figure pack' that many fans, including myself, have been dreaming about for years. No more having to buy small sets with catapults (I have way, way too many already) to amass a faction. *y* $10 should be the max for these, considering that the 2008 SW battle packs cost $10 as well, have only one less figure, and include a vehicle. trooperdavinfelth Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 (edited) Nice! I love the plastic packaging! *wub* I like the Knight set for the heads of the top right and bottom right knight! Bottom right is SirNadroj's, top right is the Jester and the foot-knight from the Advent calendar! 8- Edited February 4, 2008 by trooperdavinfelth Quote
nausicaakro Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 wow, i like it very much, they are good army builder (maybe too much knight but, ok, that's the first minifigs castle pack made from TLC from years :'-) ) now i wish that TLG made the same with dwarf and orcs ... *wub* nice shot TLG guys buy TONS of this... (in italy castle impluse set were sold out in 1 day) nausicaakro Quote
