$20 for two minifigs, two sheep, a lamb, a puppy, and a tractor is a pretty good deal - even if it is a 4+ set.

Yes, and I an happy they keep the sheep around, but unfortunately no recolours.. If that had been 3 goats instead, people would loose it 😅

I'll join in the booing for the lack of new animals and recolours...

At this stage I’m just as bored by that shepherd puppy as I was by the adult version

Looks like the new modular comes with at least two kitten with one of them most likely in a new color 🤔

The second kitten definitely looks cream colored.

In addition to the moth in the Spanish Garden there’s also an olive green frog and a light yellow songbird.

Wait a cream-colored cat?! How cool!

Fun fact, the three OG kitten colours corresponded with the kittens in Disney’s Aristocats. We have had several ‘orange’ cats which could be a stand-in for Thomas O’Malley, and now the white long haired cat in CMF would complete the core characters as ‘Duchess’.

Now we just need some comedy hounds, gossiping geese, a mouse wearing a deer-stalker hat, and some Jazz-cats 😜

Thanks, I couldn’t make out the intended species. Interesting that a lot of effort goes into making some species-specific moth/butterfly prints, and others are just made up. Lego Lepidoptera are confusing

It will never happen, but it would be lovely to get an Aristocats set one day.

But for now we can just pop the five cats on the roof of the Parisian Restaurant and know who they are

I did once consider trying to make the cat's mansion as I love the colour scheme and it looks great. Never got further than idle pondering, but still might try to make a custom modular based on it in the future.

That’s true. The original kittens were done in orange, white, and dark grey, the preexisting cat is most easy to find in dark orange with cream markings on its muzzle and chest, and the new longhaired mold is being introduced in white – that’s basically as close to the Aristocats as you can get without an official license. I wonder if someone at Lego is a fan?

I think it's just the easiest, most common solid fur colors for cats (besides black). I imagine they skipped brown to keep them visually distinct from the puppy released around the same time, and anything with stripes/a tortoiseshell pattern would be tricky to print.

No new animals in the January 2025 City sets it seems.

Let the booing commence...

An outrage. Are we supposed to survive on just a new wolf, cockatoo & cat? Won’t someone think of the children, etc

I assume the F1 license cost a lot, but the cars are mostly the same it seems with first glance, just different prints etc. How many new moulds do they have? Rather strange they did not have room to include some new animals in other city sets :shrug_oh_well: I assume the summer wave will be better

Yes we can survive. :)

More dinosaurs in Spider-man sets like baby stegosaurus, baby pteranodon and raptors. Of course no one cares about dinosaurs here.

I am sure baby stego and baby Ptera will be reused in Jurassic World theme some times later.

I’m dreaming of a glorious summer safari wave (only this time with all the bits they missed before). I’m talking giraffes, zebras, hippos and even gazelles, warthogs and meerkats.🦒🦓🦛🦏

Alternatively, sign me up for a North American style ‘Great Outdoors’ subtheme. Lego City explores the National Parks. 🦬🐿️🦝🐻 🦅

Add a harbour set with sea lions 🦭 and we’re all good.
