Which animal would that be? Unless they make a moulded fluffy, which would be more a creature than an animal actually, I don´t know which animal they could bring us. The important animals in the films have, as far as I can see already existing moulds, where I don´t see them doing new ones.

A bad year for animal will be a drought for us. Let us enjoy it before we get a lot of new animals in the end.

Yes to a molded Fluffy.

Based on all the leaks so far I think it's going to be slim pickins for non-Friends new animals in 2025.  Expecting little other than possible recolors of existing Arctic animals.  Personally I wish they would revisit the prehistoric animals in City Arctic from a few years back since I missed out on those.  Hoping for new colored Horses in the rumored Castle sets, black or gray would be much appreciated at this point.  But with the Castle sets being Creator 3-in-1 they could likely be brick built.  Friends will probably get some interesting new animals but City will be severely lacking it seems.  Any dogs in City theme will likely have those molded on harnesses unfortunately.

Agreeed on prehistoric creatures. Other tan Jurassic World dinsoaurs, I always want to see some creatures from Ice Age.

Sounds like a bad animal year in City unfortunately, and that has been very good for years now :sceptic:
CMF might not have anything for the rest of the year and the creator Castle probably nothing I agree.
So sounds like slim pickings this year :sadnew:

Definitely disappointed. Unless something comes out of left field, or the 2 large arctic sets unexpectedly introduce several new moulds, we're in for a rough year.

I'm surprised we've had 5 straight years of solid summer waves in terms of animal subthemes (ocean, safari, farm, arctic/ocean, jungle), and suddenly there's this gap for no discernable reason. Hopefully something's coming that we just don't know about yet.

Maybe this will just be the year of recolors! LOL

But I would like to eventually see some of the animal costumes made into real Lego animals like the llama, giraffe, etc.

Lego has a new design lead now that came from Speed champions and I fear that can have something to do with the F1 line and lack of animals.
He is well know and with out doubt very talented however that do not mean he has a sweet spot for animals.
I hope I am wrong, but here is a very interesting interview with him:

If you just want to hear the animal part it starts here;

He seems pleased with the animals so hopefully this year is the exception and we are back on track next year in City

Another recolored animal:

I actually just built this set yesterday. It’s in Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons. Specifically in the abridged Transfiguration classroom in the top of the tower. It’s probably escaped notice because it’s positioned on a turntable that allows it to be ‘transformed’ into a clear goblet, and for some reason all the box art and online retail images all feature that side instead of the parrot. It’s probably meant to represent the hornbill McGonagall transfigures in the Vera Verto scene from Chamber of Secrets – recoloring the parrot was very likely cheaper than bringing back the toucan, which would otherwise have been more appropriate in this case.

Looks like my hope in HP gave us a new recolour before I was expecting it

Today I finally received the first outstanding B&P order from October: just gorilla arms. Quite the saddest parcel I have ever received from Lego 😭

Finally picked up some S27 figures today, though the box had already mysteriously been ravaged of wolfs! Both the new cat and cockatoo are great. The cat is slightly taller at the head than the existing one, and they have offset the legs the opposite way to the existing mould, which is a nice subtle variation. Will be interesting to see if /how they print stripes on if we see it recoloured as a tabby in HP fire example.

The cockatoo is dual moulded, accounting for the crest. Despite my earlier attestations based on rendered pics, the crest is standard yellow, though the cheek patch is bright yellow-orange. That means it’s much more a generic yellow crested cockatoo (though the ‘common’ one in Australia doesn’t have the visible cheek patches 🤓)

I’m not sure if there’s much mileage in cockatoo recolours, but I suppose some are possible in the future. Maybe we will get one of the pink ones.

I’m still waiting for that coral coloured flamingo you teased us with years ago!

It’s not my fault they don’t listen to me!

A while back the zoological park near me had a pair of Palm Cockatoos in their Australian exhibit that were absolutely fantastic - jet black with red cheeks and extremely loud when they felt like chatting. That would definitely make for a fun recolor.

I’m here for it. Lego city certainly needs a tropical bird park next to the Botanic Gardens 🦜🦩🦚

Uhuhuh….you do tease us for years! Plus, i have been waiting for a gay minifigure in hot pink swimming suit pose next to coral-colored flamingo….

However, i think new mold for flamingo would be great since CMF Series 19’s flamingo looks… garden-y?

Apparently all the social media influencers.  Not us mere mortals.

🤬

For sheer devotion to the cause, TLG should create a unique goat in a new colour and print, and distribute it solely to the steadfast crew of this thread.

I wonder if they've gone out and found original goats and bought them all, or just created new ones. If new ones, then does it count as a GOAT goat, given that it's a new mould?

(I don't care, but I reckon some people in goatland definitely will).
