It would have to be a lumberjack! With chainsaw and log accessory too, if possible.

Exactly ! I don't forget how cool animals we had and still have in CMF. Flamingo and skunk are great examples. 
It's a proper theme to have a lumberjack and a beaver or a even a raccoon. 

The sad thing is that the animals from CMF are rarely reused :( 
We've seen the seagull, the chihuahua or the skunk in some sets, not a lot. I wonder if we'll see again the flamingo, the turtle or the toucan ? 
I remember a great cobra mold in 2015 (series 13), I only saw it a few times in BAM.

I found a 'great deal' on eBay ($3.50 each) for some of the series 23 figures and ended up with 8 toucans. I mostly wanted the legs, but convinced myself that the toucans were worth getting the entire figure! Plus an extra girl with foal, although they've already used the foal mould again, so hopefully that gets widespread use.

How about forest ranger with beaver or fawn in CMF :)

The turtle was included (albeit recoloured) in set 60328 - Lifeguard station.

I also really want to see the camels appear again in a set and want justice for the ostriches!

Excited to hear there will be a regular CMF series again in Jan - will be very disappointing not to have any new animals. Beaver is a great shout, although I'm hoping sea lion, swan, koala, wombat, sloth or capybara. Would a llama or kangaroo be too large?

The terrier showed up again in later CMF series and BAM. The French bulldog has now appeared in a set. The weird mohawk cat from the LEGO Movie 2 even showed up again in sets in Monkie Kid. The snake mould for Nagini from Harry Potter S1 was used in City. The chameleon has been in a set.

It is getting slightly more common.

Nice reuse for the turtle ! 

I loved the camels and ostriches from the Prince of Persia theme. It was in 2010. Don't you think they could have the same problem with the goat mold ? If we get camel and ostrich again, and I really hope it, we'll probably have new molds for them.

CMF animals often finish in BAM, it's cool, I live at 1 mile from the Store, but I don't really count it as an reuse, even if it is, I know... I mean, the Nagini mold, the mohawk cat, the turtle, are in sets now, available for almost everybody. I feel lucky to live near to a LEGO Store and get a new terrier color or a new chameleon color. It lasts a time. Then, the BAM changes. I would have loved to see the 2015 Cobra in Ninjago sets, or City, or anywhere else in addition to BAM reappearance. 
Talking about that, in what set the French bulldog is reused ? It's cool !

The chameleon did come in a modular.

Prior to the LEGO Movie 2 series, CMF were made exclusively in China and therefore new moulds introduced for CMF weren't automatically available for other use. I read in a New Elementary article quite a while ago that to introduce CMF parts into sets, it counted as an actual new part budget-wise because they would have to remake the mould for one of the mainline factories that supply parts for sets. That's I think why, while plenty of CMF parts did get reintroduced into sets, many did not. Post LEGO Movie 2 when parts for CMF are now produced in the mainline factories as well, it's much easier for LEGO to keep using those moulds for sets. I don't totally understand everything about this, but that's what I read.

The Frenchie came in the Queer Eye set.

Wow ! Really interesting ! Thank you :) I thought that the reused parts were "just" sent for assembly, I didn't know that counted as a new mold depending on whether it was in such and such a set, produced in such or such a place. 

Aaah TLM2, a good memories for me, about the The Magician of Oz Minifigures.
I remember in 2016, I made a prediction in here, I was sure there would be five Wizard of Oz sets in 2019 because it was an anniversary and we already had Wicked Witch in Dimension set in 2015 and a futur Toto with the Dog Show Winner (CMF16). 
Five sets, like the Scooby-Doo line in 2015. 
I was wrong, we didn't have 5 sets, but we still have the 4 characters in TLM2 CMF for the 90th anniversary of the movie. But still, I was happy to have guessed 4 LEGO minifigs 3 years before their release

In practice the pattern is that EVERY animal released in CMF has been reused in time, either in sets, BAM, or more CMFs. 
That sometimes happens immediately, and sometimes takes a while. The ones which haven’t been or aren’t imminently being reused (mouse, flamingo, hermit crab, toucan If I recall correctly) are still *relatively* new.

Agreed. But we have’t seen a mouse mold sine S18 and flamingo since S19, I believe? Chimp hadn’t been seen since the older series but now they showed up in Jane Goodall GWP this year.

So we have stag and hare Patronuses showed up in Harry Potter and now they are normal in Winter Village and City sets respeicetiully. 

Now we are waiting for otter Patronus to be a nomral otter in one of these City sets or CMF!

The flamingo needs to come in coral colour in BAM!

I think we should make a list of animals by year they were first introduced to keep track!

If it’s Toy Store & Music Shop set in Winter Village, it would be cute if they include a mouse in back room! ;) 

i agree with you on a coral pink color for flamingo! It may show up in city too.

I reckon 2023 is going to be another big year for us animal fans. So many sets last year probably wouldn’t have included them previously, but seems like Lego are finally listening! Of course, if they really really cared, CMF  S.24 would be the animal series! Come on, Lego, make it happen!

No wonder it’s such a good idea then! 
S24 will be interesting - after two no-animal series in a row, fingers crossed it’s overcompensation time. But it’s getting impossible to predict

I have a feeling that City will introduce us to a ew new mold animals. Like we got squirrel and kitten in the winter wave and nice amount of far animals this summer. Let’s cross fingers for S24 being animal series!! Not animal costume series.

I love these kind of surveys, here is mine:

1 Recolour of the dove as a European Robin. This should have come with the snowman CMF this year, so maybe it could come in a future winter village set instead. 

2 a pet tortoise. About the same size of the turtle, could come in a pet shop or CMF series as accessory to a Charles Darwin tribute figure. 

3 a fox, about the size of the skunk but taller. Could be recoloured lots of ways (orange, white, sand blue/dark grey etc). I would expect it in a city set with a henhouse. 

4 Adult kangaroo, a large mould like the new foal, in a CMF series with a figure based on Crocodile Dundee for example.

5 Wild boar. Bigger than the existing pig mould & complimented with the existing cow horns as tusks. The new piglet could also be reused as a boar piglet in tan colour with spots etc. In a castle theme set with Forest men & some trees.

Just FYI, there are a few City sets old be released next year. But no further details provided at the moment. 

Just the set number, set name, price, and piece counts, nothing else. 

But it look like there are a few sets that may suggest we would see some animals like Animal Rescue Vehcile, Off-Road Aventure, Comper Tractor. Just my guess.
