Looks like Gitte Thorsen is back with Lego from what I can see from this picture:

She has made a lot of the animal moulds in her career among them the goat, maybe it is a sign

It sounds like we are getting a moulded brachiosaurus, or in the same style as the rest of the Jurassic Park dinosaurs

Welcome :classic:

I have avoided the JP sets so far, but this year it sounds like it is a fantastic wave of sets:thumbup:
I watched the last movie this weekend and it lacked all the magic from the first one even if it tried to score a lot of nostalgic points. It is decent entertainment, but the behavior of the animals are stupid (Edward Scissorhands dinosaur, what was that about:facepalm:):hmpf:

That’s an excellent news!

So with the updated pics from the Disney series 3 CMFs,

we have the ‘normal’ owl with a nice reprint; the normal shepherd dog with a reprint to be Dante; a new mould (albeit very similar to the existing chihuahua) for the Dalmatian pup, and; if memory serves, the first ever solid coloured frog that’s in another green … with the lime green frog accompanying Tiana.

And also non moulded "animals": new printed fish-in-a-bocal and cricket-in-a-cage/lantern/thing.

Can’t wait to see how you utilise those

Strange that the Indiana Jones set do not use the two newer snake moulds in the set (that scene is jam-packed with snakes after all so make sense with some variation), from what I can see it is only the original one.. Not sure about the colors, one looks black and the other some kind of green:shrug_oh_well:

I wonder if it's a size thing, to ensure that they get through the gap for the play feature?

Tell me about Animal Moulds. Are there Vipers?

I mean, the ‘standard’ OG snake mould is some sort of generic viper/ rattlesnake …

Think that makes sense. But like @Roebuck, given the scene, I would have hoped for a little more snake diversity, especially since cobras do feature. I think there’s a good chance that there’s a new green colour of snake - but we will see.

Oh I agree. I was just thinking of why they might not put multiple snake types in there.

LEGO does still make the snake head parts, even recently added black as a new color, but then again, that's just half a snake :

I know we have standard snake mold. But we have oobra from CMF Series 13. And we have a Nagini mold that can be reused as an African rock head Perth no in 2021’s City subtheme Wildliffe Rescue.

There’s also this one which hasn’t been seen since 2013 or so. It might look more like a viper, but it’s also pretty stylized due to appearing originally as a weapon in Ninjago.

The JP sets are out in the wild! Probably the best wave I can remember without any funky dinosaurs, but my wallet is happy I do not collect dinosaurs because that Brachiosaurus will cost a fortune to army-build

The brachiosaurus was infamous for being a peace loving animal and there is no evidence that they ever formed armies, or even a simple militia, so no great expense needed.

Is there any evidence that they DIDN’T though … ?

boring old green and black snakes in the Indy set, it seems - no new colours.

It looks like Brachiosaurus has immovable legs just like elephant from 2021. But I’m okay wiht it - I will add it to my animal kingdom! Other dinosaurus are very nice wiht colors.

The cobra was (I believe) only a CMF part which would explain why they couldn't use it in the Indy sets. As for the big snake from the wildlife sets, that's larger and more expensive and presumably they wanted to go for quantity over size.

It was in BAM also, but never in any sets I think :classic: Strange since it is a nice mould much better than the original snake..
