It would be a waste of an adorable new mold if they didn’t. And if it shows up in Friends it will almost certainly be made available through PaB as well. 
 

This could suggest a South American based jungle for at least part of the subtheme. And for Friends especially it makes some sense since they already have a sloth as well. The question is whether all the sets across the subtheme will stick to the same continent or not.

I meant that City will get their own mould. Since they often get new animal moulds not long after when Friends get one and vice versa, but they seldom swap them around between themes.

Ah, yes, I see what you mean. That capybara definitely wouldn’t fit in a Minifigure system. I certainly do hope we get a City version though. 
 

I think there’s definitely still a great big question mark over if we’ll get a singular jungle trip or a grab bag of locations from across the globe. On the bright side - the Minifigure system has the toucan mold that can be brought back which is also a Central and South American native, so there’s reason to hope.

I’m pretty sure most of you know that there will be more Jurassic World sets later in June. I hope they will have a few new molded dinosaurs, like Allosaurus and Stegosaurus.

Also, I didn’t realize that DreamZzz’s Wae 2 has a new creature (dragon-cat-bat thing) is new. Sure it’s not a realistic creature, but stil…

Yes i know. And we have a white foal mold from the 2022 Lego City Advent Calendar. 

Anywasy, that’s why I said foal is more closely to a pony.

Friends comes with a Pony, LEGO describes it as such, but yes in this case, a minifig cannot ride this Friends pony, due to only being 1 stud wide, and minifigs are wider vs Friends kids.

Still I do think LEGO did a clever design here, with the 1 stud gap and 1x1 curved brick to fill it, with a 1x1 square brick, it could also just act like a foal with a stud on it's back.

A Minifig pony would pretty much just be a LEGO minifig horse, but a little bit smaller, as it still requires 2 stud wide, it cannot be much smaller to keep proportions.

If there's one animal that got the most changes over the fewest years, it has to be minidoll horses , as they got changed quite a few times in recent years, with adding moving necks in 2020, changing eye print style 2023, and dual moulded manes etc, and also having variations in mane style.

In my eye, I think a foal mold is more closely to pony. 

Allosaurus is the only new dino I can see appearing in the summer wave, the others might just be recolors of existing moulds, like the Atrociraptor

Yeah. I won’t be surprised if they use T-rex, Triceratpor, Velocriatpor and Pteranodon. No matter if they just color these dinosuars, it doesn’t surprise me. 

So…I would guess it’s two new dinosaurs or new parts to improve existing dinosaurus.

Two six-packs of CMF 25 arrived and I now have a complete set, including a goat. At some point we talked about doing a goat tree, and it's very tempting to try and get a load of goats and add them to a bonsai tree to do this. But not at $5 per blind box. So I hope they come to PAB or BAM at some point, because I still think it would be fun for a dozen goats to be climbing up the bonsai tree.

If it’s PAB, goat won’t be from CMF, no. But since goat will be included in MTS set, so it would be great for PAB.

I don't care about the particular goat, just any. In fact, ideally a different one, so I can have a mix of goats up a tree, instead of all being identical!

However as your example show it seems that Friends have taken the horse subtheme out of City. In the -80ties and -90ties there was no farms in City, but they had horse-farm sets in Paradisa and before and if they kept producing them a pony would for sure have pooped up by now. Maybe if we get a very big farm subtheme wave a bigger horse-farm set than a horse transporter might happen or maybe if they give us more Castle medieval town sets after MTS or a CMF if it fits in the box

Did you get 2 different boxes of 6 with no doubles in them?

f I remember correctly, I think there might a new variant of goat in MTS?

I’m not really sure how likely goat will show up in BAM…  We shall see. 

Regardless, I am hoping we would see to see goat kid mold.

Yes. Two different boxes of six with no doubles, giving me a complete set. Not sure if I'm lucky, given that others appear to have had duplicates. But in the past, it's been possible to get repeats, but not likely.

They also had the small QR codes on, so you can't scan them to learn what's inside, but that may be due to being an early production run?

I wouldn't say Friends took horses out of City directly, more like LEGO stopping regular Castle sets after 2013, took most horses out of minifig themes completely. (with some exceptions like LEGO Movie 1, Scooby Doo, and a few Harry Potter)

LEGO doing Minidolls for Friends and Disney princesses certainly was a factor too that made LEGO swap design focus to minidoll horses, as those are basicly extensions of what was covered by Paradisa , Belville and Scala target groups, but I still think the main factor for lack of Minifig horses, is the design focus from how LEGO handles Castle sets in the last decade. 

80s and 90s, you would find most horses by far via Castle , and then Western, Paradisa, many tiny sets even came with them, and that has stopped as well.

 2010 still had a €10 Castle minifig horse set, but that has not happened for a long time (now the minimum minifig horse sets start at like €30), the closest example would be a set like 43233: Belle's Storytime Horse Carriage from 2024 for €16, but that's a Friends style horse.

Even something fairly simple like a King's / Queen's Carriage with 2-3 horses would help a lot, currently there's PAB , but PAB alone won't introduce more horses.

But yes, maybe City still has a glimmer of a chance too, as the 2023 Police set actually had a horse.
