I did wonder about this, but they've printed designs on small animals before, like the flower on that one version of the bunny, or of course the different types of butterflies.

I can’t remember if the cub does have stud on its back. Since I’m at my work, I will need to check my cub when i get home.

I am pretty. Sure Friends cub has no stud on it.

EDIT: I just got home and took a look at a lion cub. It does have a stud on back. And I see that the sides are flat. I feel that they should have printed stripes across the sides….

Agreed! Definitely a missed opportunity from this wave. Maybe we could get a tiger cub in next year's CMF? (inhales copium)

It is possible - Maybe a jungle Dr. Kilroy with a tiger cub?

Yeah it’s pretty possible for a tiger cub to show in CMF. Maybe we will not gt a Jungle variant Dr Kirby.

Ugh, I want an Adventure CMF Series!

Brick Clicker on Instagram is saying that there’ll be a Labrador dog accessory in build-a-minifigure - hopefully we’ll finally get a black labrador as BAM animals are often recoloured

Unfortunately going off the photo shared in the BAM thread, it's the same tan one as appeared in sets.

Wasted opportunity, in addition why do not the horse girl get a foal in a new color?! BAM animals are having a negative trend and new colors are getting rare unfortunately :hmpf_bad:

While more colors of foal would be nice I don't really see why an equestrian athlete like that would come with a foal—it's not like an athlete like that would be working with a horse she couldn't ride.

A adult horse in a new colour would also be fine

Sure. but I don't think we're ever gonna see an animal that big sold as a BAM accessory. :P

Now that we have confirmation of a Fortnite theme happening in October, what are the odds of some of the wildlife from that game appearing in sets

I’m not familiar at all with Fortnite so I looked up a list of animals and was actually surprised how many already exist in Lego form. The only realistic ones I saw that we don’t already have molds for are boars and wolves, although of the two only the wolves exist in the Lego version of the game so far.

Interestingly enough, crows are in the game and I’m now wondering if this is how we’ll get one of the new corvids in solid black.

New or old animals would be a bonus since this is a theme I do not expect anything of animal-wise :shrug_oh_well: With the 5 year rule we need animals in sets at least once before 5 years have past since the last set they where in retired to avoid a potential mould destruction. Any sets that can help with that is great even if it is from unexpected themes. :sweet:

The local supermarket had a new Lego City magazine with a diver and a small build including the juvenile turtle in last years color and a "goldfish"..

I just googled it and they are brickbuilt - so if they make a set to acompany the game, they would very likely also use the brickbuild version then.

Sooooo is goat on PAB?

According to Brickfanatics it’s going to be added in July, along with several other March set pieces.

Personally, I’m more concerned with the new tiny owl that came the Owlery back in March. The only part under ‘owl’ on Brickfanatics list is the unprinted flying one from the same set, but the tiny owl has never been on PaB before so it’s possible it’s listed under a more generic name that we don’t know about yet.

Perfect timing!  But we have to expect that dark grayish blue goat will be sod out real quickly.

Is that becuase tiny owl is licensed from Harry Potter?

And I believe olive green frog will be available too.

Whether or not a part is made available to purchase on PAB it's part information and name is usually still available from Lego unless it's from a just released set and Lego are slow on the upload. In the case of the grey smowl it's easier just to get this information from Brickset as they scape all that data from Lego's website:

Or the back of the instruction book / part list.

In the case of the tan smowl from Friends 42631

New Elementary just posted a visual list which confirms the smowl from the Owlery isn’t among the new parts available starting tomorrow. However we are getting the olive green frog, unprinted sand flying owl, glow in the dark spider, and for the first time the Goat and Hermit Crab! (I’m really looking forward to the hermit crab, I’ve wanted an army of those for ages).
