Here’s hoping they thrive now that there’s a steady supply of Lego goats for them to snack on ;) Quote

The one from the D&D CMF, which some people said would be a wolf just isn´t working for me. Quote
Lion King Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Not just a wolf but I’m also hoping its pup to come out with adult wolf eventually. Quote

And the flamingo - though that is arguably a lawn ornament and not the actual creature. The colt also, oddly, was only ever recolored for an advent calendar. In either case, I do hope that the wolf comes in some sets during next year - whether that's a City set or something else in the vein of Castle. Quote
RichardGoring Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 It's such a shame the mouse hasn't come back. And I do wish the flamingo had been available more widely too. Quote
Robert8 Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 And the S21 hermit crab and the S22 toucan? Quote

Roebuck Posted November 11, 2024 Author Posted November 11, 2024 It been printed in sets also I think they make a new mould for the CMF parts since it is not the same factories that produce sets and CMF, not sure if that cost something extra on the budget since that will happen with normal parts that more than 1 factory needs the mould as well. However if they are older than 5 years it for sure will cost more to make them since they destroy the mould then.. Quote

The raven is a new addition and wasn’t introduced in a CMF, so it really doesn’t affect this statistic. Quote

D'oh! I meant the falcon. There hasn't been a raven in CMF I don't think, just that crow part from Lone Ranger. Quote

Whilst it used to be the case that CMF parts were only made in a separate factory no that is no longer the case and they are made alongside other sets. See here. This is why we are no seeing more CMF parts in sets ( such as all of the Troubadour's parts except his legs and plume in the lion knights castle) Quote

Yep, honestly some of the non-reused animals are head-scratchers, but also things like the flamingo and mouse are clearly complex moulds and not ‘cheap’ either. I would always assume the introduction of any new animal was done with a view to using it as many times and in as many themes as possible, but I think that link was broken by the PoP ostrich and camel blowout, and has since also been trampled by both CMFs and the HP theme* in particular. * like, I LOVE owls, but we are very owl-heavy in the Lego bestiary Quote

Roebuck Posted November 12, 2024 Author Posted November 12, 2024 New dog with vest and the raven is up on PAB, the raven is not to bad, but the dog is crazy expensive like its siblings Quote

Dumbest LEGO decision I ever made, passing up the goat set when I saw it on slight discount at a discount store but just didn't really care for it at the time and figured the goat would come in another set later... So, just wage a 20 year campaign to make your animal of choice a LEGO meme and then they'll bring it back. We know how to work the system now! Quote
Roebuck Posted November 12, 2024 Author Posted November 12, 2024 Looks like a new butterfly print in the Spanish garden set, also a small yellow bird there. With normal January sets starting to pop up, we should see the City tractor soon and potential other sets with animals Quote
SketchBrick Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 A few city pictures have leaked, including the tractor! Nothing new unfortunately, just 2 of the existing sheep, plus a lamb and a puppy. Can't see any other new moulds/colours so far Quote
