Okay, but isn’t the whole premise that dinos have become ‘open-source’ and loads of people have been doing crazy things to the DNA to make crazy designer dinosaurs with new traits and abilities? What I’m saying is that with a name like Pyroraptor that thing better breath fire in the movie. I will be extremely disappointed if this movie tries to convince me that the nerds of the world aren’t going to try to make their own dragons ASAP. Quote

And even if it’s the former that’s no guarantee of anything – it is, after all, appearing in this set opposite Dilophosaurus, which Crichton gave neck frills and venom spitting abilities just for the heck of it. AmperZand Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 @Accio Lego, There really was a dinosaur with feathers that palaeontologists call pyroraptor that may have looked like LEGO’s forthcoming dino. Nobody knows with certainty what its colouration was, so this one could be right and seems plausible. The only aspect that is definitely wrong is its size: the real pyroraptor was about the size of a mid to large modern day dog. Quote

They hired a real-life paleontologist to help them, just like they did with Jack Horner for the original Jurassic Park movie. Fun fact: Velociraptor in firlm is NOT that big in real life, that size is similiar to Utahraptor. Accio Lego Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 So, new info suggests the Thor Love and Thunder set 76208 will be called “The Goat Boat” Cue speculation on whether the goats will be a new mold, brick built, or something in between. Personally, I have a sneaking suspicion they’ll be a little too big to pass as system goats, but what does everybody else think? Quote

No sign of armor but they’re distinctly horse sized. Quote

Yeah, just saw some images like that - makes me think they will go with brick built… but then we did get giant eagles in LOTR/Hobbit … so it’s not impossible. Quote
Roebuck Posted February 14, 2022 Author Posted February 14, 2022 If they are moulds I am sure they at best are some mean-looking billy goats, probably something bigger that could be very useful in a fantasy setting, but not in a City farm etc Quote
williejm Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 I’d actually love if they went down the ‘wild’ goat route - something like the Markhor that one of them is based on would be awesome. Quote

Me too! However 564 parts for 50 euro in a Marvel set do not sound like it has a new goat mould in it Probably something like this : Quote
Maple Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 What if the 'goat boat' doesn't mean animal but just means 'Greatest Of All Time' Boat? Quote

The goats are going to be much larger than a minifigure scale standard goat. It would look terrible if they tried to have something pulled along by two small, regular sized goats. It's very likely brick-built at least in part. I wonder if someone at LEGO is having fun with the goat thing amongst AFOLs and doing everything they possibly can to circle the idea of a goat without actually producing one. Ideas Steamboat Willie, Jurassic Park T. Rex, Ideas Medieval Blacksmith, Mickey farm theme, City farm theme, an actual goat boat from Thor. What next? A series of greatest sport stars BrickHeadz? What's the betting that the new city farm theme will be based around 'Billy Goat Gruff Farm', but it's just the name and they have stickers of goats, but other animals? Quote

Yes it is almost like they are trolling us with the goat boat (if they are brick-built) I am sure it is just a way to pouring gas on fire, to increase the hype before we finally get a set with goats again Quote

Lion King Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 I feel like we will see a goat mold one day in a near future after Ideas Medieval Blacsmith, two Jurasic Park sets (T-rex Rampage and T-rex Breakout), Mickey’s Farm, City Farm sets, and…now this Goat Boat. It makes me “suspicous” that we would see a goat mold in a few years…or sooner (?). I guess AFOL (Animal Fans of Lego) will demand for it eventually or we will ram the Lego Headquaters’ door with a large wooden log with a golden ram’s head attached at a tip of it. Quote
