The new cat look excellent to me, had not guessed we would get any new animals from that line, but they pop up everywhere this year

I second the request for a capybara. In fact, lots of South American wildlife, including llamas!

Agreed.

We still have no info on Willife Rescue Mission (from City theme) yet.

A robot cat? Where is it from?

The cat has a name - Sox - which suggests we won't get it in Bricks & Pieces, which is a shame.

i have no idea which theme Sox is from?

Is it true? Lego goats has been spotted in BAM stations?

This info I found is form Jay’s Brick Blog.

if it’s April’s Fool plan, I would be darn disappointed.

So, the new Harry Potter sets have been revealed. Recolours / new prints for the Grim (dog) and two cats (mrs Norris & Crookshanks). Bit of a cop-out mould wise I think … but probably not a surprise

Small bird in red in the largest Hogwarts set too (baby Fawkes?), and blue trans cat in Ministry set.

Pretty poor yield in useable ‘normal’ animals, but then there are fantasy critters and new moulds elsewhere.

The Potter theme also seems to give us a recolour of the standard ‘bat’ piece in tan. That’s a new colour, it has only been available in black and dark grey in the past, I think.

It is the year of the cat definitely

I noticed the bat as well, but hard to get a good look at it with the pictures I have seen so far.

No owls is a HP wave is disappointing, but overall not bad animal-wise :shrug_oh_well:

It’s also kinda odd to have NO owls at all!

’Mrs Norris’ cat is a welcome recolour but not much use with red eyes. Same with the ‘Grim’ dog - nice to have the shepherd mould in black - but the yellow eyes 😣Songbird in red is good though - as it’s likely to be printed the same in the Mario sets after all.

I think it’s pretty poor from a useable ‘normal’ animal perspective - the only unique things are a tan bat, and a recoloured orange cat.
I guess if you’re happy with the red eyed cat & the patronus cat then it’s good for crazy cat folks. But I’m so a dog person ;)

Really overdue for a long haired cat mould.

Long haired cat would be great, but we REALLY need a Chow Chow mould

As long as it includes the original Belville dog, for nostalgia's sake (and also because who doesn't want a giant dog terrorising their minifigures? :pir-laugh:)

I would love to see a giant Yorkie Terror, - er, i mean Terrier - one day. :)

I do have a Yorkie terrier here and she is adorable but nasty.
