Brown chickens, grey rabbit, piglets, lamb, calf, corn piece, extra fleece piece for sheep. Lego you did a good job.  Hopefully there are not too many big pieces to build barn since it is a junior 4+ set. But other than that the farm set is just perfect.

Just seen this. I squeed at the barn set - so many animals! And that fleece part is genius.
Glad that they went with totally new colours for the cows. Plus all the plant parts are just great.

That wool piece is a stroke of genius!  And the corn in a cob piece looks fantastic as well *oh2* About time they introduce a new food mould! I don’t think we’ve seen one since the pumpkin in 2019

Right? lego city consumes way too many sausages and bananas …

Between the number of new colors and molds and the fact that the fate of Bricks and Pieces is up in the air, this may very well end up being the top selling 4+ set of all time!

What a good  year for lego creatures - I only talk of molded ones, not brick-built - across various themes. We got squirrels, kittens, Pyroraptor, Quetzalcoatlus, Giganotosaurus, Therizinosaurus, Atociraptors, a baby/teenage Velociraptor, Thersal foal, calf, lamb, piglet. Also, we got recolored ones - sea turtle (loggerneck), Mrs. Norris, rabbit, cow, chicken, squirrels, kittens, Pteranodon, Tyrannosaurus rex, and a few more I can’t remember.

I think there would be a farm polybag and I know there will be “wildlife rescue” mission (no idea what kind of animals they include…).

The juvenile animals are lovely and I think it is great to see a gray, and thus the first non white, rabbit! It gets on my wish list together with the small red birds.

The corn looks too specialized and detailed for a LEGO part to my liking. I like the grapes and peppers much more, even though they are just recolored existing parts.

Too bad it has become difficult to gather such exciting parts with all changes and problems lately with Pick A Brick and Bricks & Pieces. :cry_sad:

Woohoo

new animals!

Wildlife mission set has baby croc in lime green, adult croc in green, hare (HP mould) in brown, a brown flying owl, and what seems to be a baby black panther.

The reddish brown husky reappears too in another set

Too bad city doesn’t have giraffe yet!

A zebra foal from Frinds, right?? Darn it!

One of the Stuntz sets has two ‘normal’ sharks, though they don’t have eyes. That may be a misprint.

meanwhile Friends gets a new full size giraffe, and a recoloured foal as a zebra.

Aaaaand duplo has all of those wildlife sets which feature a host of new-to-Duplo animals, including: koala, red panda, raccoon, alpaca, sloth, sea turtle and what appears to be new moulds for crocodile and penguins

phew.

Word.

that Wildlife Mission set is great though. Who could have predicted that mix of (that many) animals?! No new moulds, but some sorely needed new versions.

Interestingly, the ‘black panther cub’ on one of the graphic illustrated images for the set, appears as a dark version of a puma cub. But in the pics it’s definitely a black cub. Pumas don’t actually exist as fully black cats like jaguars and leopards … but styling that as a puma would set the set in the Americas (gators/puma/owl/hare). With it being a black panther - I guess that makes it more ambiguous overall, aaaaaand it raises the question, will we see the adult black panther reappear somewhere soon? It hasn’t been in sets for several years, and we don’t typically see baby animals in City without adult counterparts.

Right? Pretty sure it’s a mistake - and they will have eyes

Yeah, or maybe on second thought, i was thinking about how sharks are caught by the millions in the real world each year, and LEGO being big about preservation, maybe it's a choice to make them more statue-like.

I know obviously they could be painted statues with eyes, but still, some people might think they are not.

But LEGO had had box art mistakes on animals before, like the recent Pyroraptor has no stud on the back in the art.

Very glad to see the dark orange husky back. I've been eyeing that one on BL but it's fairly pricey (and sellers with it on the lower end never have anything else I want).

What a wave and a treat for animals, and especially nice that a couple of sets have lots of them in one go. Between the Farm and the City Missions set you get heaps of the new ones.

Indeed. Stacking some sets with animals is a definite trend, across themes. Also great to see the inclusivity commitment coming through with more wheelchair users and the new prosthetic leg!

Also, given the *ahem* issues with revamped Bricks n Pieces, I think the animal-heavy sets will be big sellers.
