What kind of a competition would you like to see?

    • Purist competition with no third party party parts, Power Functions only, limited amount of drive motors (2XL, 3L, 4M)

We don't have definite rules yet, so build how you want.

Regarding size, I have used Sariel's various tools to generate a scale of EXACTLY 1:9
No seriously, precisely 1:9 to the millimetre.

Using either of the 81.6ø tyres, the chassis must be 25 studs wide.
25 studs = 200mm
Width of a Formula E car = 1800mm
1800mm / 200mm = 9.00

Which is a good job really, because that means where the nose meets the front axle it is only 5 studs wide, I'm not sure I could squeeze a steering rack and PR suspension into less than 5 studs! *huh*

Agreed, because more than anything else, this competition is about creativity.

Okay, how about this way guys.

Keep it PF only with Sbricks allowed.

And in order to keep all models in same scale, maximum wheel size should be 62,4 mm?

Everythign else, amount of motors, battery boxes, etc is as you wish.

Are there going to be two classes, for PF & Sbricks?

Thanks for the rules update !

I like the 62'4mm being max size of the wheels , will make great small solutions happen:sweet:

I apologize, I forgot about the other contests. 

 I was just thinking that because this topic is so cluttered, there could be a simple locked topic stating the rules, to increase forum efficiency and understanding.

This topic is much more like the contest discussion topics that can be found for every contest we have had.

I'd say no bare chassis allowed, keep it as nice looking as possible.

I may have to skip the contest then, I don't have the 62mm wheels :thumbdown:.

Why? I suggested 62.4 as max, you can use anything smaller.

at 68,8 we are talking about 1:10 scale and the models get much heavier and harder to build.

Yeah, if 62mm is good, that is fine, after all, you thought of the idea, so it is yours to decide.

Sure, but lets start with small first to get experiences. We can always upscale later.
