February 4, 200817 yr So why did you make a new topic about this? I thought an image of the monster has been out for weeks.
February 4, 200817 yr I have to say that monster definitly sucks. It looks like a crossover of Godzilla and Tarantula. And again a monster attacks New York. I mean are all monsters stupid or why do they always attack New York. There must be like 5 or more dead monster lying around in New York.

Well, Mayor Bloomberg is trying the best he can to get the corpses of them somewhere else. The smell lasts for a couple of weeks though, even for a few months :-D .

February 4, 200817 yr And that is why I dislike Cloverfield. No offense but its kind of a monster film, what did you expect? Atleast it did something fresh for the tired genre with the first person perspective, it didn't give us the cliche generals moving toy battelships round on a strategist map. Batbrick Away! >:-)

This is one of the best movies I've seen in a while. I loved it.

February 16, 200817 yr Well I like the monster! Looks like a nice unique and scary monster to me! I shall name him Snuggles and he shall be mine! :-D Oh BTW, Corpreal363, I like your avatar! Edited February 16, 200817 yr by Lord Of Pies
February 16, 200817 yr Problem is it's a $100 US limited edition toy with horribly apparent articulation points :-/
February 19, 200817 yr Actually, the cloverfield looks like my dog, if you cover it in brendel-colored fur and give it a red collar...
April 17, 200816 yr Actually, the cloverfield looks like my dog, if you cover it in brendel-colored fur and give it a red collar... Your dog scares me..... We all now know what the monster looks like, but there are still some important question that need to be answered(sadly the movie did not answer those questions ): 1.Where does it come from? 2.What is it?(mutant or alien?) 3.Does it know where Elvis is? 4.Is it Godzilla Edited April 17, 200816 yr by Stealth Hunter

BTW,sorry for reviving the topic. 1) Outer Space (look carefully at the final scene) 2) Alien 3) It's an infant, it can't read yet 4) No way. Godzilla's sons look dorkier. 5) Clover...of course
April 17, 200816 yr That's the point - the film doesn't answer the questions because it's from the point of view of an ordinary bunch of people - do you think in real life a scientist would randomly come up to you and explain everything? Oh, and the monster looked better on screen. TK

You made point there. But atleast they should have given some hints or a short explanation where Timmy(yes I talk about the monster :skull: ) comes from. Edited April 19, 200816 yr by Stealth Hunter
April 25, 200816 yr No offense but its kind of a monster film, what did you expect? Atleast it did something fresh for the tired genre with the first person perspective, it didn't give us the cliche generals moving toy battelships round on a strategist map.Batbrick Away! >:-) While i can respect the doing the first person perspective to be differnt and to try and add to the realisim, it also took away from it at the same time. I have to ay at least 1/4 of the audience walked out due to that. I know cause while waiting in line people coming out of the theater were all saying how dizzy they were after. While i could live with it, many couldn't. I did really like how the army just came out blasting the hell out of it with tanks and stuff, and the B-2 Stealth bomer bombing the hell out of it towards the end. As for where it comes from, maybe it lived in the depths of the ocean and we just never discoverd it cause we have never been able to go that deep. Who knows.
April 25, 200816 yr I'm tellin' ya...final scene of the movie when they're on the ferris wheel pointing the camera out across the ocean...far right of the screen...can't miss it if you're looking for it
June 2, 200816 yr My name's Timmy! I hope you aren't the monster... Anyway, the film was just Aliens and Godzilla mushed up into one, just as a First person point of view?
June 2, 200816 yr well the monster comes form the sea and the reason it did becuase it was disturbed by the miners who were looking for oil, the secret slusho ingrediant
