June 23, 200519 yr Author V()()D()() - I'm interested in six of your horns, any chance of selling/trading those? Of course, I'd trade/buy very generously for the an entire Viking, if you have one! Shoot me a PM with any offers you'd be willing to make for ANY of your Viking stuff.
June 24, 200519 yr Hey, sorry if I might be bumping this topic up, but does anyone know whether or not the Vikings will be released in Australia?
June 24, 200519 yr Governor How inconvenient! I went to check the 2005 LEGO catalog to see if it had a date for Vikings, and all it says is "Fall 2005". I presume this is because its identical to the American catalog because that season aint called "Fall" here... So the blinkin catalog isn't that helpful! Not like the good old days when the Australian catalogs had the release date for the sets in Australia. I remember pre 93 the catalogs even had a recommend price for the sets as well. That was most useful.
June 24, 200519 yr Author Hey, sorry if I might be bumping this topic up, but does anyone know whether or not the Vikings will be released in Australia? I think I recall Jake saying they'll be available via S@H worldwide.
June 24, 200519 yr Governor Add another month or two to that and it'll be on local eBay. You'll save heaps on postage buying locally and maybe even get them slightly cheaper when the flood the local eBay market. Or you could just wait till they hit stores and go on sale - depending how long you can wait...
June 26, 200519 yr Lego really is pumping out some great sets lately! I actually want the entire set of Vikings, ordering one or two extra of the Wolf set for pieces (mainly the helmet, armor, and axe). The Longboat seems quite impressive; guarantee that I'll get at least that set. The fortress is fantastic, the others good but not as much. I'll have to travel away from my Pirate collecting to get these fresh, new sets. My mouth is watering for new legos for the first time since 1996! :oD
July 2, 200519 yr Here are some large scans from the new UK catalogue, with prices and piece counts: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/kovey/MI...swscan00005.bmp http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/kovey/MI...swscan00007.bmp Viking Warrior challenges the Fenris Wolf -
July 2, 200519 yr They're now avaialble in S@H in Europe: http://shop.lego.com/leaf.asp?cn=235&d=7&t=3
July 2, 200519 yr I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again...I so have to get that Fenris. To bind him in the chainof six impoosible things. To have him swallow the sun in the lego ragnarok. To remove a hand off a viking minifig and designate him as Tyr...must have. Akkh
July 3, 200519 yr So, wait. When will the Vikings be available worldwide? I click the link and it says that there are no results in the Viking category.
July 3, 200519 yr I don't know when they will be availabel worldwide, but it is true that there are no "search results." However, when you search for the specific product number, the sets show up. (But you still can't order them... :( ) Here are the links: Viking Warrior Challenges the Fenris Wolf (7015) Viking Boat Against the Wyvern Dragon (7016) Viking Catapult versus the Nidhogg Dragon (7017) Viking Ship challenges the Midgard Serpent (7018) Viking Fortress against the Fafnir Dragon (7019)
July 3, 200519 yr Then, these won't be available in US and Canada at local stores? I'd rather get these locally, rather than order from S@H...
July 3, 200519 yr I don't lier the Viking sets. There is a lot of juniorization going on and they remind me of the Knight's Kingdom sets. I think these are really designed for kids. 8-|
July 3, 200519 yr These sets are no longer available. Come to think of it, nothing i available on the website! Anyone know what's happening?
July 3, 200519 yr For sure in North America Vikings are not scheduled to be available to the average dealer/store. ToysRUs might get them, since they quite often get special deals/things much earlier than other dealers (ie lots of stuff this summer they have been selling we will not see till August). But Vikings is not in any price list I have seen/catalogs for deals, so shop@Home will be it for now.

You act like you're surprised that the sets are "really designed for kids"--OF COURSE they are. ;) Now, about those Vikings...they look absolutely amazing. The minifigs have soooo much personality. I'm gonna buy a ton of 'em, so they can sack and pillage my LEGO Towns and my Knight villages.
July 4, 200519 yr anyone has close-up photos of all the viking minifigures? i heard there are 6 of them.... would love to check out their facial expressions n their torso.....
July 4, 200519 yr yeah... i know the viking details are now on the official lego website.... but there is no close up shot about the Viking minifigures.... I am sure someone from Eurobrick will soon post the review then i will b able to check them out head to toes.... :^D
