Posted June 11, 20177 yr I have 2 battery boxes, 4 xl, 1 servo, 1 m, 2 v2 and 1 v1. The light of the receivers works when I start the battery boxes, the channels are correct but the 2 8885 RC don't work. What can cause this?
June 11, 20177 yr When you push one of the levers on the remote, does it light up? Have you replaced the batteries in the remote and the battery box? The battery could be low and have only enough to light up the receiver. It has happened to me before when I push the lever the receiver light goes out and nothing happens.

Yes, they go about 2-3 months then they need new batteries. Just try that, and if that doesn't work you can worry.
June 11, 20177 yr Here is a test you can do to find out where the problem is: first check the batteries in the battery box and remote, then connect a battery box, receiver, and XL-motor together (make sure the connectors are pushed on tight), now push a button on the remote and see if the light flickers on the receiver. If the light flickers (but the motor doesn't work) - then it's the motor that is the problem, so try another motor. If the light does not flicker - then it is either the receiver or the remote that is the problem, so check the light on the remote or try another receiver. If nothing works - then there is much more of a problem .
June 11, 20177 yr Make sure the tiny black c/o switches (with 3/4 circle logo) next to the sqaure red buttons is in either full forward or full backwards postion. If it is the inbetween RC won't send a signal.
June 11, 20177 yr It happened to me, too... I bought a sealed 8475 about one year ago... just after building it I discovered the RC remote was not working. Unfortunately, the only way to fix it was to buy another remote (on bricklink).
