Oky Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 As you may be able to guess by my avatar, I am a fan of the new Brickheadz theme. The best thing about them (aside from looking really cute and NOT UGLY) is that they are fairly easy to build yourself by following the Brickheadz standard, so here is a thread for me to post my Brickheadz creations. As you may know, one of my favorite themes is Toy Story, so it only made sense for me to make Buzz and Woody first. And while I already have a space ranger Brickheadz body, I thought why not make one of my sigfig? :) Next, I wanted to work on a larger project, so I set out to recreate every main character from TMNT. Here is a group shot of the Brickheadz in a Half-shell: First up we have the leader Leonardo and the cool but crude Raphael. Next we have the other two turtles, Donatello and Michelangelo the party dude. And lets not forget the other good guys, April O'Neil and Master Splinter. April's hair is mostly borrowed from Black Widow, but it's shorter in the back to allow for her to have her collar. But what would our heroes be without some villains to fight, so here are the evil Shredder and Krang. As always, they are accompanied by their minions Bebop and Rocksteady. I will be working on more Brickheadz for the contest on Brickset, so keep an eye on this thread for more! Quote
Umbra-Manis Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 These all look great oky! However, I feel like the middle of splinter's nose needs to be a stud or two longer, because at first glance he looked like a cat. Quote
SpiderJazz Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Not a fan of Brickheadz especially the normal ones. I love Ironman and SDCC Spidey and Venom. I have to be honest tho, this looks like legit and official. Great builds. Quote
Digger of Bricks Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 These all are superb! Now the four turtles, those are beyond perfect, and, like @SpiderJazz said, they look like they could pass as actual products. Quote
Trekkie99 Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Great brickheads! Love the the turtles. 1 hour ago, SpiderJazz said: I have to be honest tho, this looks like legit and official. Great builds. I second that! Thumbs up. Quote
BlueberryWaffles Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 These are amazing! My favorites are Bebop and Splinter. I wish Lego still had the TMNT license so we could get official Brickheadz. Quote
The Brick King Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 I already saw these on the Brickset Competition folder, but I'll say it again; these are all fantastic. Quote
grum64 Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 I think these are all excellent but Woody & Buzz are my favourites. Great work Quote
Borex Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Bebop, splinter, rocksteady, so perfect! well done! Quote
Oky Posted July 12, 2017 Author Posted July 12, 2017 Thanks everyone! On 6/30/2017 at 6:42 PM, Umbra-Manis said: These all look great oky! I was trying to keep it flat since Brickheadz usually don't have a nose at all, but it did end up looking too flat, especially when compared to Bebop and Rocksteady. Anyway, here's my next batch of 90's cartoon inspired Brickheadz! Digger of Bricks Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Wow, Scrooge McDuck looks great! I really like depiction of the small spectacles set between the eyes, and the usage of the old Islander plumes (is that what they are?) for feather tuffs works perfectly! Though I'm not familiar with them, I recognize the other characters, who also have great, spot on caricatures. Quote
Vindicare Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 (edited) Oh man, these are fantastic. The 90's cartoon overload! Gizmoduck...come on! Edited July 13, 2017 by Vindicare Quote

You've got some catching up to do! And yes, that's what those are. Speaking of Islanders, these are technically not licensed, but I think you will all enjoy these anyway: Capt. Oh, those Pirates and Adventurers Brickheadz, they are amazing! I mean, Johnny Thunder... Particularly, I'm really liking how you've used those one by one quarter circle tiles to imitate both Johnny and Redbeard's hair peeking out from under their hats. All your Brickheadz are turning out awesome so far, but now I really would like to see more unlicensed designs from you after seeing these! Quote
Oky Posted July 16, 2017 Author Posted July 16, 2017 Thanks, @Digger of Bricks! Any particular themes you'd like to see? Quote
Pennas2000 Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 These look amazing!!! Any plans for Gummi Bears down the line? Quote

Oh, well, I've seen a few people do these before, but some Classic Space and Classic Castle Brickheadz could be cool to see; particularly, a Futron/Blacktron pair and a vintage Forestman/Black Falcon pair could be nice. As far as more recent unlicensed themes go, for some reason I think some Exoforce Brickheadz would sort of be cool, especially since depicting their crazy, rubbery hairpieces could be a challenge. sander1992 Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Nice Brickheadz Oky. It brings back memories of my childhood. I am working on a landscape for the Adventurers theme and it is nice to see those to Brickheadz of yours. Great builds! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 All of these are incredible! You really Captured the essence of a brickhead. I wouldn't even think of using the flower petals for chipmunk. Brilliant Quote
Oky Posted May 19, 2020 Author Posted May 19, 2020 Hi everyone! I'm back with a couple more DuckTales Brickheadz! I also wanted to let you guys know that I have made instructions available for all the Disney and TMNT ones on Rebrickable. You can get them by clicking the pictures down below. Anyway, first up we have Scrooge's nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Unfortunately, the 3x3 dish doesn't exist in green, so I had to go with sand green. And here is another favorite character of mine, Gyro Gearloose with his little Helper. Also, I have made a slight update to the bill and feet of the other Duck-headz to make them consistent with those on the official Donald Duck Brickhead. Again, click the pictures to get the instructions: Quote
sunhuntin Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 How have I mised these? So awesome! Can't wait to see whats next. Quote
