I'm kinda the same. I'm hoping we'll get all six knights "unmasked"/with a hair piece but if Ninjago is anything to go by, they'll do half or two thirds of the team, then randomly stop leaving my "variant" display unfinished until I shell out for a set or loose figure. I really hope they don't, but I'm not holding my breath.

Well, there's a problem with that; Clay, Lance and Axl's wigs can be sourced from other places with relative ease, but they created a brand new dual-moulded hairpiece with added headphones for Aaron that's currently exclusive to the keychain version of him. And they'd also need a new part with a stud on the top for Macy, so that her red ponytail can fit in along with the rest of her red hair (unless you want to say the ponytail is the only hair she has, like Nadakhan or Magmar).

You could use the Radio DJ Robot (tlm058) piece, but it's not a perfect match:

Today is the moment of truth: will there be summer sets? Hold your breath

Has Lego ever released one wave of Ninjago in a year other then came back the next year with a new wave (other then last year with the movie)

This is the best I could do with the hair last time I tried ...

Lego not showing new nexo knight sets isn't a confirmation of the themes ending, look at how little lego is revealing this year to begin with at the toy fairs. There is always a little hope for one more wave to end it with a bang

The article says the production cycle for these sets was shortened by 6 months. That’s not good, if there was any sets coming they would try and keep the wave before it out on shelves

Looks like it just disappeared actually, which is very strange

Maybe there's still hope?

The article linked this one by Zusammengebaut http://zusammengebaut.com/lego-nexo-knights-leiser-abschied-auf-der-spielwarenmesse-43744/

At the Toy Fair, we were told what has been speculated for weeks: there will not be a sixth wave of LEGO Nexo Knights in the summer. Say: The recently released five sets will be the last and the product cycle has been shortened by half a year.

At the press conference, Frédéric Lehmann, Managing Director of LEGO GmbH, once again emphasized the importance of the digital component, mentioning the Nexo Knights app. Probably one last time. The knights of the future move on: A quiet farewell.

Yeah, that'll do it. :sceptic:

Happened once, under quite similar circumstances in fact—Ninjago got a single wave in its third year that was meant to be the final one, then extended with the next year's "Rebooted" story arc when sales and the outcry from parents and fans both exceeded expectations. I don't necessarily expect Nexo Knights to get the same eleventh-hour save, though—if the theme had been as overwhelmingly successful as Ninjago proved to be in those first few years, I reckon we'd have heard about it already.

It was initially successful, the reason we got this 2018 wave was because of the successful sales of the first 2017 wave

Actually I’m not so sure about that. Someone (a reliable leaker i just forget who) said another wave was coming, no one else really knew about it. Nexo Knights got the same number of waves that Chima did so it makes sense Lego used that outline for this theme

Honestly, I can live with this. Sure, it's disappointing that we didn't get a proper fortress, large vehicle or anything of substance for the Vampires, but based on rumors last year, we were lucky to get this wave at all. I really wish that Lego had given us two or three more sets to give the theme a good send-off, but I assume the sales for the summer wave last year were atrocious, so they probably decided to pull the plug.

I really do hope that they slide us a battlepack, or a polybag, or anything that will be an easy way to bulk up the Vampire army.

That too. I hope they had some sort of restriction of making new parts/prints for this wave, because if they could have made Monstrox and didn't, that's pretty lazy on their part. They could easily have put him into the Tech Wizard Showdown instead of the useless hologram. :shrug_confused:

That's because this wasn't designed as the final wave. Remember we already saw the updated Ruina minifigure

Human Monstrox was probably planned to appear in the very final wave

Ah well, I think it lived a fairly through life, whereas Chima kind of awkwardly stretched out that Fire Vs. Ice saga for its last three waves.

It still is my favorite of the three recent "big bang" themes, but only from a aesthetic standpoint, as I never really get too deep into the tie-in mythology of these themes. I do though eagerly anticipate whatever may be in store for the next big one, if Lego does indeed have a successor ready in line for next year. :classic:

Come on though, can't we also have some more smaller scaled in-house themes, please Lego?

Well, here's hoping. But, considering the article we saw . .

I'm already working on a Vampire Castle MOC on Bricklink. When it's finished I'll post it.

On the subject of Human Monstrox, just because there might not be an official figure doesn't mean we can't assemble one. Because the 2018 NK sets haven't arrived down under yet, but I think that a good starting point would be to take the torso and legs from VanByter No. 407, the head from Ghost Warrior Pitch (njo145 on Bricklink), a black hood piece and a Batman cape (which anyone who got BATMAN MOVIE sets has far more of than they could ever need.) Does anyone have all of those to spare who could try it and tell me what you think?

(Of course, if anyone has a better idea I'm open to suggestions.)
