bnesty Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 (edited) Hello my friends, I would like to intraduce you my Westen layout presented in last exibition of my LUG held couple week ago. Here you can see all my Western MOCs made in past few years together : In this pic you can see these two famous building, never released ideas project "Western modulars". I decided to make partial revival. Saloon is 80% of original, and this white building is apx 70% of orginal. Edited July 10, 2017 by bnesty Quote
Gunman Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 A big layout for sure :) I really like the "store" with the nice sign there Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 (edited) That's an absolutely amazing layout, bnesty! I esp. like this paddle wheel steamer - but all the other buildings you designed yourself are really great, too! Since I'm a huge Lego Western fan, too, I at the moment am working on a nice layout, too - but only with official sets (apart from minifigs and landscape). Edited July 10, 2017 by Klaus-Dieter Quote
peedeejay Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Great layout with many cool buildings and nice little details! I think what could really help to improve the overall layout would be a more smooth transition between the baseplates of different colors. And I would also add brown tiles to the train track so make them look like being build out of wood. Quote
bnesty Posted July 11, 2017 Author Posted July 11, 2017 Yes, your sugestions are on mine mind for long time, but it will be done in far future , cause these MOC works need huge bulk of bricks. And money shortage is always problem ? Thanks all for your posts Quote
kabel Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 Wow, great Western layout, I really like a lot of the buildings. Mind if I borrow some ideas for my layout? Quote
SilentWolf Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 This is a great layout. I love the great amount of posing and action happening everywhere. All those buildings are well designed and look like they truly would fit in any Western town of yesteryear. My only critique is that the magnificent paddleboat would fit in better if there was some foam behind the wheel as right now it looks a little out of place on the calm river. I would be amiss to not mention that the inclusion of the telegraph wire is a great touch! It is often forgotten when thinking about the Western towns so I liked seeing it included. Quote
greg3 Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 This is great and really makes me long for a return of a Wild West theme!! I toyed with the idea of creating my own Western town when the Lone Ranger sets came out but never got around to it... Not that it'd come close to your work!! Anyway excellent stuff - I especially like the variety of building designs you've got going on (and the gallows is a nice touch!!) Thanks for sharing!! Quote
