why they build the station near a cave full of dangerous animals?

is the feline the guardian of the jails? A secret weapon to avoid the usual prisioners escapes?

I was talking about the three-tall 1x2 thin bricks, that were part of the terrain. They looked printed to me . . . I could be wrong, though.

City is too big of a theme for a full analysis. So I will just say that I think the Mining sets are great, with the big Expert Mining set being my favorite City set of the 2018 wave. Mountain Police sets are better then I thought they would be. I think the RV is cool and I love the City Park Easter egg. I'm hoping for a continuation of the Jungle sets this year as last year's sets might be one of the best City waves in awhile.

2. That there'll be again some Jungle sets is very, very unrealistic. TLG never has released more sets of a theme of the last year. Plus we know that summer will see Trains and Arctic.

I don't perceive giant stone crusher in the largest set as a vehicle. To me it looks more like a structure, like a building. and in this respect the overall view of the set is nice.

It is no way the same that that nasty "airport" set featuring a relatively big plane dwarfing a "kinda-bus-stop" airport terminal.

I think they’re referring to the family from the pickup and camper set being the same family from 2016’s Fun in the Park.

I'd say that the reveal of the new modular building which will be released already in January is the end of our hopes getting a new Town Plan style Exclusive in the first half of 2018. Which would really be a shame. (Maybe there'll then be some new city center in the City theme - but it never would include bigger buildings like in 10184.)

Curious as to why there's been to no information or leaks about the City Antarctica theme (with new orca!) due to land next summer? 

SvL confirmed Tim a while back, but all I'm seeing for City 2018 is mining and mountain police.

We won't see Summer sets for a while yet - just Winter sets so far I believe.

Summer sets usually get revealed around Nuremberg toyfair I think.

New York Toy Fair is where everything is flashed around and perhaps Legoworld a week or so before it.

I see s@h has 60097 City Square as ‘retiring soon’ so maybe there will be some sort of replacement in 2018, hopefully a new Town Plan!

Jang has a review of the 60188 Mining Experts Site up. Looks awesome, and I'm definitely getting it for the mine I plan to put in my city. Now, if only it had come with a sloped track part in grey . . eh, we'll get one eventually.

Over on Promobricks in the link below, there's a teaser image from the 2018 1HY catalog for City's Arctic subtheme. Nothing really, other than a single arctic explorer figure with a husky wearing a supply pack. But, the explorer figure does seem to be donning what looks like to me to be a bomber hat in Bright Red (pictorial example shown below link).

Back to arctic ? Tons of helicopters and not a single plane ?

Would be nice to have like a artic DC3 or a Electra , something less toyish and more realistic . 

Soemthing different and more close to the real life .

I'm really not excited about getting new Arctic sets although there'd be so many since long not brought back themes like Mountain Rescue, Farm and Harbor!

So there will be either a Fun at the ... set or a Town set? How bad ... Let's hope that there'll be a decent train station.

All in all I must admit that 2018 (apart from the Great Vehicles theme) doens't look like a great and interesting City year (for me). So I hope that there'll be some surprises left which push it!

Yay, new trains! I used to have the 2006 Passenger Train (no idea where it went) and I loved it. I'd be delighted to have a train to go around my town.
