Just saw a trailer for another Lego DC animated film: "Aquaman: Rage of Atlantis" or something like it, and it heavily featured the Jessica Cruz Green Lantern we saw leaked a while back. I bet that's where we'll get her.

I'm torn. As much as I really like the Jessica Cruz Green Lantern, and love that we are getting more Green Lanterns to fill out the Corps, I'm also bummed that we're getting her instead of that Red Lantern. We need at least one representation from each color!

Someone got their hands on the Ace the Bat Hound fig. As with Krypto, I'm not really feeling him. This newer dog mould has really strange proportions and is in a very awkward pose. I'd also rather it be brown like the comics rather than the cartoony grey. Ah well, I think I'll just stick with the German Shepherd dog mould as my Ace

I wonder if the decision to not include a figure with the Flash movie was a conscious decision to test the water regarding what people buy it for; the movie or the figure. Because I would be surprised if The Flash sold well.

Or maybe just a budget decision. Since they decided to release two movies relatively rapidly, shave off a few dollars of production by not producing two exclusive figures.

That’s what I meant. If they find that people are only buying the movie for the figure, then they know where the money is. Which is going to sell better in the aftermarket? The cost of producing a cgi movie vs one minifigure should be a fairly easy comparison. Lego and WB will be looking at the sales difference and making notes.

So given that the Jessica Cruz GL is going to be packaged with the Aquaman DVD, does anyone have any info about which minifig will be included with the new DC Visual Dictionary that comes out this fall?

Just a guess, but a Lex Luthor minifig leaked a while ago, in a blue Superman-themed power suit from the new Rebirth comics. It’s almost certainly that.

Luthor seems likely as it’s much like the Wonder Woman figure from the last book, in that it’s a non-traditional suit. I can’t see him rocking up in a set wearing SuperLex.

I would be all over that!

that DC Villain Game

Dang it, I nearly forgot about that. Three exclusive figures in quick succession. Seems a shame that the Flash movie didn’t get one, really. Lego rarely needs an excuse to take my money, and they lost an opportunity there. Or at least they would have done if I hadn’t bought it anyway.

That still leaves one more exclusive fig. Lex could come in either the dictionary or that DC Villain Game

Given that it's a DC Villains themed videogame, I'm betting that the Superman Luthor figure will be the exclusive for that instead, as opposed to the updated visual dictionary.

some figs started leaking (not at the usual place though I give them a few hours)

for Batman the owl villain: it looks.. boring of course, as it has no leg print & no mask piece. Wolverine claws appear to be gold - from pictures I thought the were yellow

I disagree. The lack of leg print is almost a given these days, especially in a cheaper set. There are loads of Talons with individual looks; they have been around for nearly 400 years, so a separate cowl piece seems unlikely. As a generic Talon mask it is spot on. If you are desperate for leg printing, Cole from Ninjago has had like fifty costume changes, and most of them are suitable. He won’t miss one pair of legs. That figure leaves scope for personalising your Talons with hoods, short capes, weapons, etc. Love it.

Talon looks like a fair enough figure, though I wish there were a bit more Gold accenting, particularly on the head. That is, unless this figure takes after a slightly different comic variant I'm not aware of, with less gold accenting on his costume. Anyone know if that may be the case, or is the image's color quality just not the greatest?

The talon is alright but a member of the court of owls would have a nicer partner than two talons, I expect its due to budget but I hope we get one eventually, they only need a new faceprint and I'd say that they're more iconic.

I'd have to disagree there. The Owls themselves are just people in suits and dresses with masks. In fact I've been using the Kabuki Twin heads for my members. Talons are also the ones that are actually doing all the work and actually have fighting abilities and are therefore a better inclusion for a street scene. The only way I could see any members of the court would be if they made a set of the labyrinth which itself is extremely unlikely. Kids wouldn't want to play with some guys in suits and bird masks, they want people that can actually fight Batman

After watching the trailer for the LEGO Aquaman movie I really wish they made an Atrocitus figure instead. It would have been so easy and no new molds. I also wish they made sets for these DC direct to video solo movies like the Flash one.

But the direct to videos are made for the sets, that would be making sets for somethings that is made for sets ,*oh2* in-set-ption.
