DC Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion

That there Joker is a neat little nod to his ice cream truck. The others look a little, well, limited in terms of imagination. The placeholder for Cheetah looks like Scarlet Witch. Deviating wildly away for a moment, I really like the crook dressed as a tree

It looked like Wonder Woman is fighting Ron Burgundy with a spear in the lex set. Placeholders are weird. Mighy micro sets look alright, but I need that kandor piece and now im interested in seeing the Joker and Nightwing figures better.

It really is a great piece, used before in the Deadshot set from last year.

Oh joy, another black-suited Batman, only this time (presumably) without the same level of detail. Whoopee.

The rest, as the Micros always do, at least look like they'll be good for similar-yet-different variations. New Joker tux is always welcome, and another masked Harley face (if accurate) should be fun. If the new juniors set lacks a new fig, though, I'll almost guaranteed be skipping it.

I don't collect mighty micros but i have to admit how disappointing it looks in this upcoming wave, only good looking one is the supergirl set, nightwing is okay however

SvL on the Nexo Knights 2018 thread said there will be NO DC SuperHero Girls sets next year, but he did confirm we will be getting another year of Elves apparently.

They didn't do enough to win over a lot of us minifig-ers. Had there been some sort of Katana hairpiece-with-mask combo, or more new items that could work with 'figs, I might've looked further into them, but I have no interest in minidolls whatsoever.

I'm a little disappointed by these new mighty micros but still enjoy what we are getting. I'm ready for nightwing but the joker throws me off. Batman and harley is meh but still alright. The Supergirl and braniac is my favorite of these. great pieces and looks.

What sets are coming out in January? I haven't seen anything about them. I've only bought one or two of the small sets but I like the theme and would definitely buy more if I wasn't saving all my money for next year's Super Heroes and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom sets.

There are 3.

The smallest one is Batgirl and a white dog who is wearing a black mask (Ace the Bathound?) with batcycle and ATM builds. The dog sits in a side car, the batcycle is purple, black, and yellow with a stud shooter. Small red Kryptonite dude is also included. He is holding a $100 bill. Called "Batgirl Batcycle."

The middle set is Supergirl's room that has a Fortress of Solitude type of motif. Builds are a bed, a little kitchen area that shoots 2x2 circular discs, and a there is a little shooter thing for Krypto. Krypto's build looks sort of like the polybag flyer that he had. Barbell and green Kryptomite are included. Called "Supergirl Dorm."

Final set is a lavendar plane type of thing with those big propelor parts on either side that are orange. Person flying the ship is Starfire apparently as the set is called "Starfire High Flying Wonder Woman Rescue" but Olivia from Friends is standing in for her. Side build is yellow and black Kryptomite jet pack with a grabber arm grabbing Wonder Woman. Ship also appears to seat two.

Sounds interesting! I'll definitely pick up that Batgirl one, that sounds like a great little set.

These sound good, I want to collect all the dorms and now i want that batgirl set. What mold is this possible ace? If it's like the new Krypto mold it gives me more reason to buy this.

He definitely seems bigger than Krypto. (Still cute looking however).  Looks like he might even be sitting down in the sidecar of the bike and not standing like Krypto. Sort of hard to tell. I would (roughly) compare him to the sitting variant of Scooby Doo.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if we saw the sitting mold of scooby doo used with just a new head. Both Ace and Scooby have a similar build and shape, so it could work.

Awesome, that gives me so much more incentive to get that set. Thank you @Legocity2713. I don't really like the mini dolls but i can't deny these sets have great stuff for superhero fans.

I love the sound of Ace, and it'll be really cool to get a Starfire minidoll! I have a harder time justifying the SHG sets since the figure parts aren't terribly useful outside of their own environment, but the minidolls I do want are always so nice, and the builds are really solid, too! I wish the main line would take a few notes from them in terms of making detailed locales without blowing up the budget. 

I really dig the Nightwing Micro, and I think his torso could be great for a Teen Titans Nightwing (those designs have a lot less muscle definition). The Supergirl set is a must-have, both for the Bottled City of Kandor and the new color for her hair piece (I believe?). The Batman/Harley set is an all-too-easy pass, unless there's some fantastic detail I'm missing, or his head will work for my Doctor Mid-Nite minifig about as well as the first MM Batsy's would.

That's a lot of parts that haven't been used in that combo before for it to just be preliminary. Even if it's not the final design, it does seem pretty indicative of Damian, which is really interesting to me. DC seems to be phasing out Tim and even Dick as the default Robins in merchandising. I'm not sure I like that.

I'm pretty sure that Black Widow hairpiece has come in blonde before. I think in a Friends set once? I'm not 100% sure.
