A question concerning licenses:

Each individual player can license up to three properties per month. The same applies to settlements, which can also each license three properties per month. Do chartered trade companies also get three licenses per month?

Yes.

Also, does the WTC have an account set up? Otherwise, mention it in the accounts topic.

Thanks.

No, the WTC has not yet an account of its own, good point.

Testing the waters here, a question to everybody:

Is there a general interest for an Easter themed minichallenge like the one I did around Christmas? It would again be about a seasonal scene with story to go with it - see the Merrynight Mystery minichallenge as an example. Prizes would be similar, but this time I would like to run it through all of April.

That is, if people are interested, and the Higher Ups agree of course. As I said: just testing the waters for now. Thoughts?

Sure why not, as challenge I is closed and awaiting results, and challenge two isn't on the horizon yet (or am I wrong there?) so It'd be a perfect in between.

I was reading your rules on the Merrynight mystery minichallenge, and saw that digital builds do not qualify as builds. But as I'm looking around in bobs nowadays there are quit some digital builders around. May I suggest a sub-category on the build part; "Best digital build" with a price equal to a third price? Or something along those lines. That might get you more entries and more fun.

I think you do have a good point, and if I get to do this, there will be some an option for LDD entries for sure.

Personally, I see no reason to disqualify ldd builds. They pose their own challenges in terms of construction and presentation, and can be just as magnificent.

Typically on eurobricks, though, digital builds does not qualify for physical prizes.

Well, there will be no physical prizes anyway, so that is not an issue.

I had my reasons to disqualify LDD builds for the last minichallenge, but the player environment has changed, and so has my opinion. I still do not want physical builds to directly compete with LDD builds, but as @Bart suggested that can be easily solved by seperate categories.

How does a ship's speed value translate.
I understand it's a 0-6, so you can move 1 to 7 fields every MCRA turn,

So text wise (for a story) is it okay to say a ship of speed 3, can sail from Bastion to Kings harbour (3 fields in the last mcra map) in a month or in less then a month. Or from Terreli to nova Terreli in two months.

If you mean Range: The first zone contains your port of departure and is zero on your plotting course. Your Range number is how many zones outside that zone your ship can travel. Zero range ships can travel from one port to another in the same zone.

I think it more about how range as a stat translate to "real time speed". From what I understand...

... sounds about right.

Another general question: are there any plans already for another football tournament like this one last year? There is a real life World Cup coming this summer, maybe play the BotBS one out before? I have only read about the first one, and it seemed to be great fun for everybody. I would love to see a continuation!

Maybe @Maxim I or @dr_spock have some ideas about this?

As per te rules set out by Maxim I, dr_spock has the right to organize the next championship.

But it would be fun indeed, (damn what have I mist alot in my time away :O)

Aye. dr_spock has the right to organize the next championship.  The previous time frame worked just fine so we'll stay with that.

Good to know. I am already looking forward to it!

Is there a place where you can see the information of Trade Companies?

Like; which players are in it, what ships do they own, buildings, settlements, what monopolies are they granted. stuf like that, a bit like a settlement thread.

I had to update it quickly, but this is the one of MAESTRO :)

For Eslandola's TCs, you can find some of the history and monopoly info here, but it doesn't list members or assets. I'll see about adding at least the membership lists.

Here are the ETWC and MCTC's pages, both of which seem to have member lists and the rest of the info you're looking for :classic: (Not positive on how up-to-date the MCTC's one is, but ours should be good :pir-wink:)

Corrington has only the discreet ETTC and the not so discreet WTC. The ETTC works by pm, and I don't think we have a topic describing us. For the WTC, you should ask Drunknok or Mesabi

Posted (edited)

The WTC currently has only two members, Mesabi and me.

There is one (massively out-of-date) thread here...

... which is on the to-do-list for a remake. So far I consider it not a top priority, but it will get done in April or May.

There is also a (background only) thread about the organisation and troops of the WTC:

As far as I am aware, all WTC forces are on AMRCAs at the moment. The ships can be found in the monthly account sheet. Most of the WTC properties are in Mesabi Landing - which is de-facto a WTC settlement - a complete list will follow as soon as I updated the general WTC thread.

If you have any questions about the WTC, just ask either myself or Mesabi. Until the remake of the WTC thread is up, this is best done via PM.
