Pate-keetongu Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 The last samurai of the old rule is challenged by the warrior of The New Shogunate. This was built for a Finnish LUG contest with the theme "The new meets the old". I had wanted to build a samurai for some time now so this seemed like a good idea. The whole scene became a lot larger than I had intended - these are 30 cm (one foot) thall figures, so the environment needs to be big... More can be found on my blog Cyclopic Bricks. Quote
Jeebus Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 Wow this is really good. I like how the chainskirt moves. Quote
mrcp6d Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Really stunning work here. This MOC is so full of character and emotion. Well done! Quote
peedeejay Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Marvelous! I really like the red/black domaru! The black kabuto is also very well done! Quote
MovieMocs Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 I love this entire MOC. I love how the bridge is so simple but looks so good. The scale to this things is probably my favourite part and that makes you able to add the smallest details. Overall 10/10. Great work :) Quote
Krazykel Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Really not what I was expecting when I clicked on. I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised and it's an imaginative and masterful creation! Quote
sander1992 Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 That looks stunning! I love the use of parts in the figures and the details are really good. Great build. Quote
KevinyWu Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 Wow. Love the snakes on the sword pattern too. Quote
AnalogPanda Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Wow! This is great! The base alone is a work of art but these characters (as always) are so expressive and nicely detailed. Bravo! Quote
Pate-keetongu Posted August 1, 2017 Author Posted August 1, 2017 Thanks everyone, glad you like this! It took plenty of time, and some engineering work to get the bridge sturdy enough to hold up the figures... But it was worth it, of course. Quote
