Opproperaar Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Based on the Russian Shuka-B class submarine (NATO codename Akula) I present a Lego look a like still in progress. ;-) Ok, so it hasn't exactly worked out yet, but it's still far from finished. Concerning the giant holes in the hull, they're there not only for the sheer convenience of having to place less bricks, but also to prevent LDD from crashing because this thing will be 250 studs long when finished! (it's 150 now) Any suggestions so far? Quote
Lt. Veers Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Dang! X-O That's huge! Another great sub. *y* Quote
General Kannon Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Have you ever thought of only doing the portion of the sub that would be above water. Also how are you to do the front and back? Quote
Capn Frank Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 so this is that 3 decker sub you were telling me about! 8- Quote
Opproperaar Posted February 11, 2008 Author Posted February 11, 2008 Have you ever thought of only doing the portion of the sub that would be above water. Also how are you to do the front and back? You mean like this one I made some time ago? ;-) The bow? the stern? Why Like I made the last one my friend. Only bigger and better X-D that technique allows me to make sterns and bows any way I want, smoothly without studs. I have decided to change the sub I'm mdeling it on. Instead of the Shuka-B I'm going to use the yet to be launched Severodvinsk class, type 885. Which in reality is quite a capable succesor of the Shuka-B and partly based on it. So I don't need to change that much altogether. In case you hadn't yet noticed, I like Russian subs :-D Quote
