jameseilers Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 (edited) Here is version 1 of the TIE Silencer based on all of the revealed photos and taking some design techniques used in the official Lego set primarily to use the printed pieces. It looks like the hull should primarily be dark gray but The printed hatch that comes with the lego set looks to be black... I'm still tweaking a few areas and playing around with the distribution of black and gray on the hull. Shout out to RebelBuilder, as used some great techniques on his early model based off of just one leaked photo (I kind of like his design better than the official design) Screen Shot 2017-07-26 at 23.15.23 by James Eilers, on Flickr Screen Shot 2017-07-26 at 23.15.45 by James Eilers, on Flickr Screen Shot 2017-07-26 at 23.16.00 by James Eilers, on Flickr Screen Shot 2017-07-26 at 23.15.34 by James Eilers, on Flickr Screen Shot 2017-07-26 at 23.30.36 by James Eilers, on Flickr Screen Shot 2017-07-26 at 23.31.11 by James Eilers, on Flickr Edited July 27, 2017 by jameseilers Quote
Martini26 Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 (edited) Nice, in scale model than my microfighter version but I think that you should modify front edges of panels to be more sharp like this ;) Attach .lxf file if you want to :) Edited July 27, 2017 by Martini26 Quote
belkor Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Really great job - thanks for posting this The wing tips need finishing though as they're a bit blunt atm. It would be awesome if you could attach the lxf - I'd try and get it built this weekend if you did Quote

Anti-spoiler or... living under a rock? haha http://www.starwars.com/databank/tie-silencer Ok, some updates. Re-worked the aft end and engines, tips of the wings and blasters and the coloring. Next is the interior. Mr Man Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Very nice job, you've got the squashed, stretched look spot on. Have any pictures released or leaked so far shown an interior? Or are you making your own guess? Quote

jameseilers Posted September 11, 2017 Author Posted September 11, 2017 Now that I have the official Lego model I'm going to build it, see what changes I might make to my model and then order the extra pieces I need. On 9/2/2017 at 1:50 AM, Kevin Yoo said: Amazing build. It must have been hard to make this accurate, as there are conflicting sources regarding the Silencer’s design. Your version seems pretty accurate to the one officially revealed by Star Wars. Thanks! Quote
ptrg Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Hi @jameseilers any chance you could send me the Lxf files? Really want to upgrade my original set to your awesome build! Thank you (or if anyone else downloaded the now defunct Lxf file, could you please send it to me?) Cheers! Quote
