Posted July 30, 20177 yr Grid E4 Studica The Briolui Army has an airbase close to the border with Erotema in a very strategic position for the ongoing war. For so, it must be taken. The surroundings are muddy due to the recent floods. The barbed wire limit the perimeter and no trees remain, as they were cut to benefit the defense. 1 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Two Briolui soldiers inspect the barbed wire when the death whistle of a 155 mm shell burst sounds clear…and near…very near… 2 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr And the best they can do is just run, run to save their lives. 2 bis by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr A few seconds later the artillery shells pound the terrain creating small craters 4 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr When the enemy is on sight, a storm of fire is directed to the attacking force. 3 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 3 bis by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 3 tris by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 3 quater by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr COAC tanks appear soon. Maybe they are no match for the light weapons the Briolui soldiers have. Besides, the mine sweeping roller provides extra protection. 5 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 5 bis by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr And, who cares the weapons you have when you just simply…die? 6 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr The machine gun gunner dies a few seconds later 6 bis by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr A barbed wire is a very easy obstacle for a tank to deal with 7 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr And more Briolui soldiers enter the body count 8 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr The barbed wire is now ready for the COAC troops to storm the enemy position 9 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 10 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Soldiers from Erotema and New Brickika go out from the tanks. As the engine is in the front, a few privates can be carried inside (crowded as anchovies in a can). One of them has a MANPADS (man portable air defence system). Why? 11 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Well, when attacking an airbase there can be an airstrike…They see a jet taking off, loaded with fuel tanks to fly south, far away and probably going to a grid where New Brickika´s troops are attacking another base at the same time. 11 bis by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr But that lonely jet will never arrive to its target, because the MANPADS is shot… 11 ter by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr And the enemy jet receives a critical impact, rendering it unable to attack, covered in flames and with a certain crash soon. This is a coordinate attack with other forces. The other Erotema troops, commanded by SkyPie, are attacking another base, and they need fire support. In the background and at a short distance from the fire, they prepare such a support… ROMEO LIMA (for Rocket Launcher) to SIERRA PAPA (for SkyPie), transmit target coordinates. SIERRA PAPA transmitting coordinates…E4 12 - 14 ROMEO LIMA roger, entering position…FIRE. Rockets inbound. SIERRA PAPA roger. That´s why one of the tanks left and an MLRS has arrived and opens fire. Meanwhile, the infantry deploys and gets ready for the final assault. 12 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 12 bis by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr The enemy bunker is on fire. August 2, 20177 yr Great build! The addition of mine rollers on the tank and the smart use of nets as barbed is clever. And the size! You can depict an entire battle scene, wonderfull!
August 2, 20177 yr Very nice details. Ok, the 2 tanks...are 2 (!!) tanks into a diorama. I also like the techniqe with the net for barbed wire... I will steal it () And then all the move with the MLRS and the sodliers in the final attack!

August 19, 20177 yr You’ve been awarded (7) points. Judges’ comments… I like the idea of the assault here. I think as the game progresses you will need to focus on varying your terrain a bit more, especially as the game moved to different locales. Tanks are looking good but it might be time for a new chassis. Good work! The base camp hill is good, but I felt it was a little bit to rigid. You want it to feel more organic, even if it is LEGO. Add some more smaller plates and bits, throw it off with some plant life to disguise those rigid corners. You went large on this build, and based on the fact you brought in to mine sweeper tanks, it makes sense. The layout felt a bit empty on one side of the barbed wire fence though. Sure, there were spots of differing terrain, but no real elevation or plant life. With those big builds, you want to add more detail to them so they don't feel empty. Get yourself a solid color sheet, place it as a backdrop or underlay. That rug is just too distracting...along with everything else that falls into the picture. Remember, the focus is the build, not the other things in the room. Some of the pics were well lit, and a few others came out darker with shadows. Be sure to use a consistent light source. Apply a few of these and I'm sure your next round will gain quite a few points! Lots of details lots of action, I love it. It’s neat how you incorporated the mud and water from the earlier minichallenge. The terrain looks good, and I like the hill leading up to the bunker. It is a little too square which might be fixed by using some smaller plates and tiles along with curved or wedge pieces. It’s neat to see the rollers on the front of your tanks and I like all the custom vehicles you use in your builds. The way you develop the build for the story (adding craters, vehicles, destruction, etc.) is great, too. Overall a solid build. Thanks for playing!
