Eddie_Young Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 (edited) I was thinking about what I could do with the newly acquired bucket wheel excavator parts. Something that I couldn't build without these big yellow circles. That's how this strange idea came to be. The arms are motorized: they grab or drill and retract into the wheels. The compact and functional hand is my favourite part of the robot The two-wheel design makes it wobble a lot. Someone on youtube commented that it's headbanging to the music - genius!!! I might try making one with adjustable wheel angles next! Any suggestions? Check it out on LEGO Ideas!!! Edited July 31, 2017 by Eddie_Young Quote
Jeroen Ottens Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Fun ride. The gripper is compact, but looks a bit flimsy. Quote
Superkoala Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Looks like a mix between a hailfire droid and a terminator. Love it. Quote
Leonardo da Bricki Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 First thought was a HailFire droid from Star Wars! Like the speed and the attachments, though the claw arm does seem a bit wobbly... Quote
kolbjha Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Hehe, a really nice build Like others here, my first thought was the hailfire droid. Escpecially like the gripper arm coming out, and also the way you use the clamshell buckets as fairings around the BB Quote
Eddie_Young Posted August 2, 2017 Author Posted August 2, 2017 Thanks guys! I agree about the gripper arm. It hasn't fallen apart yet but I'll look into it because I want to use the same idea for another MOC Quote
