Posted August 11, 20177 yr I am working on a Star Trek TNG inspired corridor similar to this and asking for your kind opinion. I am trying to replicate these walls: I build the below small scene: In your opinion which Wall is better matching the original? The left (nearer to Rikers minifig) or the right (more far of Riker) ? Any opinion ? Thank you so much !
August 11, 20177 yr Agreed- the one on the right might be a little less technically accurate in some ways, but it captures the feeling better, in my opinion.
August 11, 20177 yr Wow, it's not everyday that you see a Star Trek build! I also think the right looks more accurate. :)
August 11, 20177 yr I would change the vertical tan bricks to 3 plates sideways, that way you can recreate the tan-l.gray-tan pattern, or even l.gray-black-l.gray. Edited August 11, 20177 yr by Henchmen4Hire
August 12, 20177 yr I agree, the right one looks more, well - right. It is btw. Interesting to see how the look of these corridors changed from the early seasons to the later ones. In the beginning they used a quite low-key lighting, allowing more shadows and lightspots, while the later ones are much softer and more homogenous setup. That also influences the way the colours look like. I would therefore, if in doubt, definitely choose my colours after the upper picture, since its more neutrally lit.

It looks very appropriate & transports the feel of the series perfectly. Sadly the gaps in the floor are quite visible. Maybe you try using horizontal bricks instead of tiles. The slopes might allow you to make the curve more subtle. Edited August 14, 20177 yr by Darkdragon Please don't quote pictures
