I have no problem with more generic sorts of villains reusing parts, but I can't help noticing that Nails and the non-Juniors version of Chopper Maroon use the EXACT same pieces aside from their legs (the Juniors set at least makes Chopper Maroon stand out a bit more by giving him a helmet instead of hair and a bandana), and Luke Cunningham and Skip Vicious are identical aside from their visors. In my opinion, it would have been better if the parts were mixed and matched a bit more so that these characters didn't feel so identical — for instance, if two figures have the same face and you don't intend for them to be the same character, don't give them the same hair, neck accessories, and torsos as well! Mind you, I realize this was a common thing among the ghosts from "Possession", since aside from neck accessories each of the lower-ranking Ghost Warriors and Ghost Ninja but the two in the battle packs had one of three designs. For some reason it didn't bother me so much there… maybe because their designs felt more generic and didn't have traits that seemed as distinctive to an individual as a red mohawk. We had the same problem with the Sky Pirates. With the exception of Flintlocke (and Clancy, but that's just because he was a Serpentine) all the pirates, even Doubloon, used one of two (maybe three but I doubt it) generic torso and leg mould/prints. The exception was the Battle Pack, which featured the same minifigurws with different hats. Quote

Except it wasn't so bad for the Vermillion, because they had some orange variant snakes to break things up. (I liked the orange ones. They should have made an orange coloured vehicle.) Quote

I'm generally not as bothered by characters having the same clothes unless they also have the same face and/or hair; that's the big difference with the Sons of Garmadon wave. Also, the sky pirate foot soldiers from the battle pack also did have unique faces and torsos (much like Wooo and Howla from the Possession battle pack), not just unique hats. Quote

Kim-Kwang-Seok Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 just watched the latest Ninjago episode - it's amazing how much this feels like big cinema. And it's great how they preserve the characters of the Ninja. All of the main 3 villains so far are also very unique & interesting. If we get a few super strong emotional moments, this could be the best season yet. Quote

Also, I did not peg Mr. E being a Nindroid - although, really it just adds credibility to the 'he's really the Overlord' theory. We saw the state the Overlord was in for the second part of Rebooted; is it possible that he, either as the Digital Overlord or just as magic goo, is possessing an old Nindroid - wait! {GASP} The purple goo! The new Garmadon minifigure is shown to have purple goo leaking from cracks in his armour. The Overlord spent a period of time as a puddle of sentient purple goo! It really is the Overlord! As for the earlier discussion about the S.O.G. Headquarters and its accuracy (which I unfortunately couldn't quote), it is unfortunate to know that the set is indeed not very accurate. We need dartboards, pool tables, and a den for Killow, stat! (At least they got the holding cell for Cole.) But there's also the question of why Lloyd was included with that set. It should really have been Cole? Unless Lloyd goes there later . . ? Quote

It's not so much a cheap cheat now rather part of its structure and charm. Even going back to the Serpentine and the Skeletons each General was unique and the underlings had certain commonalities as you got down to the grunts. With the new stuff it makes some story sense as the torso's are the Biker Gang Jackets and Colors. Quote
TheGlynreaper Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 I just built the killow v samurai x set and wow im impressed at how large his vehicle is and the mech is great too finally I can now say I have a pixel minifigure , next up I am going to build the temple of resurrection I honestly feel like I should buy the entire wave at this moment even though I have yet to see the new series and don't really know where all the new characters fit in I honestly cant wait for the summer waves as ill likely be buying them all especially the dragon sets Quote

Like 4 species of snakes, all with 4 types of them, not counting Generals 3 species, but still that was amazing. Quote
badchriss Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Well,as expected, the actual Set wasn´t really that close to the Hideout in the series but i loved that Episode nonetheless. Quote
