LEGO Ninjago 2018

The "spinners"/ dragon masters are out, here, in some shops, in Slovenia. Which means, that the other sets are about 2 weeks away to follow them. Thats how it usually goes here.

It looks like it, yeah, but that's concept art, which tends to take certain liberties. Is there a picture of this figure with this chain as part of an actual set?

Managed to pick up a Spinjitzu Jay set today (the one I was most interested in due to the lightning bolt accessories, the others didn't have accessories I particularly liked) and have rebuilt it into a replica of the Airjitzu Jay Flyer (with a few color/print/minifig substitutions due to not having the right parts). How can I get it to fly up in the air like I have seen in video clips (rather than just flying straight down to the ground)

Point it upwards and pull the ripcord. Really hard.

The chain is supposed to be in the 70653 Firstbourne Dragon set but I couldn't find an pic of the actual piece

So you have to pull the ripcord really fast to get it to actually go up into the air instead of just drifting down? Maybe I am not pulling it hard enough then...

Issue 37 of the ninjago magazine came out in the UK today, It comes with the black gi Nya shown a while back and a DotD Lloyd for £4.99 which is a better deal than the usual one figure issues. It was an easy choice to pick up for me as I had neither figure (and the Nya is technically exclusive for now due to the unpainted hood part.) though I'd recommend swapping Nya's arms out for gunmetal grey ones with black hands.

If it still has this piece ,rather one of these  then it is as likely to fly as you are.

If it still has this piece ,rather one of these  then it is as likely to fly as you are.

Though, if you get the 15$ Jay, Master of Dragons you'll can use the flyer part and attach it to the Spinjitzu Master handle and you'll have an Airjitzu flyer.

Could also check Walmart and Target periodically. They frequently get polybags that were previously Lego S&H/store promotions. Sometimes its a few months afterwards but I've seen a lot of the old promotion polybags in the wire bins and end caps at these two stores.

I rebuilt the spinner according to the Jay Flyer instructions including using a silver propeller I picked up from a parts sale so it definitely should fly. Seems like moving my hand in an upward motion at the same time I pull the ripcord helps get that airtime :)

I didn't realize that pictures were out. I just saw them and they look really good. I wonder how easy these will be to get, since Toys R Us is shutting down all of the US locations.

Well, huh. These must’ve been planned before Toys R Us went down in the US. I wonder if they’ll be limited to outside the US given the TRU branding is already on the box.

Also, Future Flashforward Jay instead of a relevant character like any of the missing Elemental Masters? I mean, don’t get me wrong, he looks great, I just question why his inclusion makes any sense.

Mask of Hatred Harumi kinda makes sense, but why not give us casual Harumi if you’re just going to have a boring grey variant? Casual Harumi would’ve been much better than this.

Even still, I’m happy that we are still getting characters seen in the past, and Kabuki Nya is just excellent.

Now they can see the daylight, it even looks like see has the batman mayor hair in black, just like in the show. , this just boosts my optimism for another lego shop pack with more unseen characters.

Hopefully this will be available at smyths (they can put a sticker over the tru logo) cause toysrus will be gone from the UK by October, and smyths bought up all the trus in Germany and Austria.

Nya and Stone Harumi both look awesome. Bikers are good for army building. And future Jay . . well, it just proves that those Flashforward (is that the official name now?) suits are never going to appear in the actual show. Still, looks pretty good all the same.

Well I am not sure if their are any Meijer stores near you. But they seem to get a lot of the poly-bags sets, another place to check out.
