I remember thinking about this the other day but I don’t think I posted about it. If the nanofigures from the D2C are already leaking, then the D2C can’t be a December release, right? The UCS style Hulkbuster helmet and minifigure leaked in December while the set was a March release. Could Hogwarts be coming in August and could it be one of the two VIP early access spots for mid-July? I have no idea what else the access spots could be for, since Ninjago City Docks is a retail set.

Yeah the Harry Potter d2c is coming in August. I would bet it is one of the vip special sets. The set will most likely be revealed as close to comic con as it can be and will be on display there

Goodness me. Now I’m kinda happy that the regular wave is said to still be August 1st in the U.K. gonna buy all 11 sets at once!! Gonna cost like £800

According to Thebrickfan, the US July 1st release date is only for Target and Lego, due to target wanting a month of exclusivity for some reason. Hence why the date is still august in other territories.

to be honest I think from July 1st, outside of the us it’s just gonna be a case of if a store decides to put them out or not.

I agree it’ll be Hogwarts and Cloud City

Ive actually thought that ever since it said there were two early Vip access sets in July. Everyone keeps saying it’ll be October or December but I’ve always thought that just doesn’t seem right. I always thought it would be revealed right before comic con and then be on display there. These leaks plus the July calendar seem to indicate I was right.

I thought the Star Wars UCS sets always release on October 1 with mid-September early access?

I think that was just the Millennium Falcon and the Death Star. Before that, it was January and May, but it’s been changing with these bigger sets

July early access for the D2C Hogwarts? Nice. What upcoming D2C sets are there? Hogwarts, Cloud City, Creator Expert... is that all? IIRC, Ninjago City Docks isn't D2C, so it shouldn't have an early access. There are two D2C's coming in July / August. One's very, very probably the Creator Expert car. Cloud City will most likely be an October - November release. I'm glad the D2C Hogwarts will probably come out near August and not December as was previously rumored.

Hopefully this is an indicator of a good relationship where TRU left a void...and Target will now be the home of Bricktober. It doesn’t seem so because Bricktober definitely screams of a toy store specialty, but we’ll see.

Was it ever confirmed that target would be getting the bricktober stuff? Or are you speculating because of the early set releases of the Harry Potter stuff?

I hope not... Target is barely available outside of the US, wouldn't really make sense to give them the exclusives

Complete assumption on my part with early release news.

Problem is, without TRU, there isn’t a retail store to carry them that’s consistent enough around the world. They might end up splitting them up or just selling them from Lego brand stores

What am I really happy about is that there is double VIP on July 1. Getting 500 points on this is gonna be great.

That do not mean much, it would be a very small book if it only include figs from the sets and CMF this year. If somebody gets hold of the book early we will know more what to expect in the CMF :shrug_oh_well:

I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a crazy amount of nanofigs. So far we have our fair share of Ravenclaw students, logically you’d expect the same amount of figures from the other houses too, right? For a £400-£500 set, I hope Lego are very kind with the amount we’re getting. I’d love a smaller scaled castle full of different characters.

The nanofigs are probably cheap to make, and Lego probably anticipated that some would be disappointed that it is not minifigs, so maybe they go overboard with the nanofigs to compensate :shrug_confused:

I do not remember the list of D2C sets to expect, but there is is still half a year left of 2018, must be more than 3 right? The James Bond car definitely seems to be around the corner

If Target is only in the US then I think it is more likely that TRU will get it as usual, since the brand is still doing fine in most of Europe at least  That would be perfect for me, but probably Lego do something else with them since the number of TRU still standing are very low compared to last year, so each shop would get to many sets to handle.. GWP is probably the best solution for everyone, but since the number probably is to low to get them with every set, maybe a GWP to the people buying HP sets over a sum or D2C

That's ridiculously stupid. Who do they expect will buy two versions of the same set?

Some will. And for the builders that prefer architecture that don't want minifig scale part builds, they have something. For the ones that prefer play sets, they have their version. The same subject can be aimed at different sets of people. Lego understand that not everyone want minifig heavy play sets. Understand that, and you understand that it is not ridiculously stupid.

Wait, so in england the sets are realesed july 1st but only in lego stores? Or is it august 1st?

As it stands, officially they are released August 1sf in the U.K. although there’s always the chance of stores putting them out early

Apparently the microscale Hogwarts is going to include a ton of nano figures probably more than 36. But as for the figures that come with it, we are getting the four founders in minifigure form. That’s from Jedijacpenguin on instagram

Darn. I was really hoping it would still come with an awesome selection of minifigs. That’s disappointing.  I find nanofigures completely useless. It will be sweet to have the four founders though! Didn’t really expect to get them. I still wish exclusive characters from the actual story were included though.

The 4 founders? I was really not expecting that, they keep surprising me.

Have they been represnted as actors in the films?

Apparently they were on some trading cards.

I find it unusual. A lot of people have said they want them, but there's nothing particularly interesting about them as minifigs as far as I am concerned.

On the Wizarding World of Harry Potter's attraction yes, the Founders appears as moving portraits.
