Should I sell my Lego Harry Potter sets from 2010/2011 to have enough money to buy the new ones?

Depends. I think some of the 2010/2011 sets are still excellent. 4840 The Burrow, 4842 Hogwarts Castle and 10217 Diagon Alley are the standout sets for me, wouldn't sell those unless there were new sets that I felt were better.

As for the other sets, I wouldn't mind selling them if needed too in order to get the new wave. The exception would be if there was a particular minifigure in them I really liked which so far doesn't have a newer version.

Yeah I‘ve got Hogwarts, Hagrigds Hut, the Qudditch match and The knightbus from 2010/11.

I‘m pretty sure we are going to get new Versions of the Hut and the Bus, so it would‘nt hurt too much selling them.

Does anyone know if they’re also being released at Walmart tonight in the US?

It's exclusive to Target and the Lego store for July.

I saw that too. Maybe Target exclusive for first month? Great Hall and Whomping Willow already backordered ...whew!

Everything is backordered now! When I placed my order it was all backordered but I’m hoping it won’t take 30 days to ship. I’m placing a separate Hogwarts Express order as soon as it’s available.

Would the safest decision be to wait and order it all from target, or place a backorder from Lego.com?

I'd do both. I trust both places to do returns easily! :)

Well looks like a lot of you in the US have to wait as long as the rest of us

The CMF really complement the sets as aforementioned, so I wonder if the future goblet of fire sets will focus on Fleur and Krum as Harrys competition since we got Cedric Diggory already:classic: In fact I expect most of the unique CMF figs not to show up in the next wave of sets..

I know the designer said they scrapped the Chamber of secrets set, but I would not be surprised if that pops up in a future wave, since all the characters is missing even Ginny

Is it only me or do Nagini have printing on the body in the picture on the leaflet :sweet:

I hate HP and FB with a passion. But am I the only one who noticed the soft cape in the CMF Series, that’s never happened before, I’m quite excited for the future of CMFs now!

Really LEGO?!!? Everything’s back order already?!? Number 1 toy company in the world and they still can’t figure out the basic stuff. I’m beyond disappointed and am fully pissed off.

You should have seen what it was like last year with the UCS Millenium Falcon.

While Draco is the only one with it cloth cape, it would seem that you are right! It’d be good if they continue using those capes.

Well if it's really sold that quickly from minute one on the US site then I think people can rest easily about potential sales influencing the decision to green light future waves.

Do you guys think Luna and Moody will have a 2nd face? I hope Cedric has a 2nd face with his eyes closed so you can relive the scene where he dies.

Moody has a 2nd face, it’s Barty Crouch Jr’s face, I’m personally hoping Luna has a 2nd face with the glasses on

Oh, that is not gonna happen. Besides he died with his eyes open

I'm not sure it is true sales. I was on the UK S@H site at midnight and all the new Brickheadz - HP, Frozen, SW etc - said coming 1st July. Refreshed a second later and they all said on Backorder will ship 2nd July. I highly doubt all the Brickheadz would have sold that much in seconds in the middle of the night; it seems like a sales technique to me to make it seem like they sold fast.

Maybe Lego really isn't releasing the sets before August 1st apart from at Target and this is a way for them to gage interest / increase scaremongering that they will sell out really quick. I hate to have to say it, but going on the above ...

I'm not sure if there's some kind of glitch in the system. Brickset has all the sets listed but none have listings as being 'owned' by anyone. I'm sure someone would have jumped on that had they ordered them.

I can't find any listing for a Wizarding World or HP theme on the Lego S@H site. I don't think Lego really need to do the artificially limited availability thing with these sets... they're a full entirely new wave, rather than just a single UCS set like the Falcon. That was a huge set available as part of an evergreen theme at a price point never touched by Lego previously. Some of these are £15-£20 sets... they'll want to shift as many as possible.
