Can someone pinch me? I must be dreaming  I had high hopes for the return of this theme, but this just blows anything that came before it out of the water! So many great moulds and details :sweet: And to think that this is just the beginning

Edit: isn't that just this part?

Lego Slope, Curved 2 x 1 No Studs with Stud Notch Left

The Great Hall could use more height. As someone else mentioned, the big tower needs the little towers coming out of the turret.

But otherwise, this is so exciting! You guys have been mentioning a D2C? I do not know exactly what that is, but my guess is that it is another big set? I am just hoping for many many big Hogwarts sets so I can put them altogether!

I swear, that girl looks like Ginny.....but you guys are right: that is definitely a yellow torso!! YAY HUFFLEPUFF!!!!

Is that not Ginny? Maybe it’s Susan Bones?

According the the set information The Brother's Brick got from LEGO, yes that is Susan Bones!

I'm really sick of LEGO making one wall sets. This is slightly better as it's almost two walls, but it still doesn't look right.

I do agree but there`s an easy fix; Buy multiples! ;)

I only just realised, we just got our first glimpse at Lily and James (if the rumours are true).

I don't believe them anymore. The leaks got a few things right about the Great Hall, but also made some completely wrong claims about it including Voldermort, Dementors, and Filch. Also, why would Nick be in both the Hall and the CMF?

Wow, the Great Hall set looks amazing! Interesting that there will be Brickheadz too given that they weren't a part of the leak.

I didn't get any Brickheadz last year and the theme hasn't interested me much, but these and the new Star Wars ones are must haves for me!

Well it were very early leaks, they could have swapped some figures around.

I wish the Brickheadz would diverse out to other TV/film/gaming properties that LEGO aren't making sets for at the moment, like Funko do with their Pop Funkos. Why can't we have Doctor Who Brickheadz for instance, or Simpsons ones?

And all the students are kids - with short legs and this is kind of cute and I can have it, but I want normal sized minifigs in the D2C hogwarts. It's kind of cute. AND the best thing: the roof is GREY!!!

I agree, I'd also like some of LEGO's original characters like Johnny Thunder, the Classic Spacemen, and the Toa Mata.

But this is a Harry Potter discussion so this probably isn't the place to discuss it XD

Have they revealed what the HP Brickheadz are going to be or was it just a general announcement?

Anyone mind helping out with how the angled pieces of the main tower are done - e.g. how they are connected? It's the only part i'm having trouble figuring out.

I bet the basilisk is the snake that Malfoy conjured when Harry and Draco faced off in the duelling club. Otherwise it wouldn't make any sense. The basilisk is in a wrong colour and it is way to small.

The tower honestly looks horrible but I'm so excited about the great hall and the new Dumbledore. Interesting how they really are focusing more on student life at Hogwarts rather than the action scenes with death eaters - like they did in 2010. It seems as though LEGO kind of are going back to what made LEGO Harry Potter so exciting in 2001. BTW I absolutely HATE McGonagall's legs.

Ahhhh. Great observation. I think you are correct!

Well, come to think of it, wasn't that just a normal sized snake. And the description does say call it the Basilisk.

Yeah, the original run had so much more variety and "world-building" sets than the 2010 one. You really got to build the Wizarding World from the ground up. Glad to see them go back to that!
