September 15, 20177 yr The Mack is interesting, I do want to see the final build of the rally car too. I think it will go well next to le mons 24 hour car and the porsche.
September 15, 20177 yr At least IMO there were some lemons, such as the 8041/42041, the 8063, the 42001, and the 8433.
September 15, 20177 yr Oh god no, not the lemons... I think you mean Le Mans, that's the proper spelling. But, there have been lemon sets. I'd agree with some them, but @AVCampos, 8063? I think it's a decent set, not the best, but not that bad. 42070, now that's a terrible set. I don't think we should keep talking about this, though, it's not that on topicÂ
September 17, 20177 yr  Well the most iconic Mack ever is the one in the movie convoy. The black Mack of the Rubber Duck. Don't know it's type, but it is iconic.
September 17, 20177 yr That would be a Mack RS-712LST, but the outline is not similar to that truck at all. Also, a movie vehicle would have its own deal for a license, and that might not happen. On the other hand, a truck of that type might be a B model.

September 22, 20177 yr Any thoughts on the B model? 1. Either another Mack truck... 2. Futuristic truck, like they did with BMW bike 3. Your type...
September 22, 20177 yr The catalog said explicitly "The alternate model is another iconic MACK vehicle builders will love". Â

We've been seeing more and more of it recently, and the sets have been pretty good. TLG made mistakes with CD-ROM games and silly gimmicks during the last big futuristic run, so hopefully they won't be scared to go a bit conceptual again: imagine an 8446-type vehicle with CLAAS tyres! Back to 2018 discussion; I'd be interested to see TLG's take on a space-age Mack truck. I can see it having a type of crane, judging from the main model's equipment.
September 23, 20177 yr No no no, please no. If the new anthem truck is the A-model and an older version of the truck (not WWII age). That would be great.Â

Getting back to the futuristic topic for a second, As long as they keep it within the b models, I'm not too concerned, but futuristic A models?Â

September 23, 20177 yr I wonder how the sleeper cab will be viewable in the Mack Anthem. According to the introduction the sleeper cab is directly behind the seats and is only accessible from that. I mean, there are only doors that open to the driving seats and no door to the sleeper cab. Does that mean the roof will be liftable or openable or something?

New 8446 set - yes but with smaller CLAAS tires Futuristic Mack, whell anthem is futuristic. It does not have to fly to be futuristic Just now, Ngoc Nguyen said: I wonder how the sleeper cab will be viewable in the Mack Anthem. I saw aerodynamic roof on daily cab for new Anthem, perhaps final version would have a daily cab?

Yeah, especially in case they put a battery box here and some holes could be required for a better access. I'd bet that that the sleeper cab will have no back side.

September 25, 20177 yr How about this possibility: The Mack is PF upgradable and to install the BBox you have to remove the interiors of the sleeper cab. Like the way it's done with 42068 Airport Rescue Vehicle.

September 25, 20177 yr But I really don't think a gearbox or PF is necessary for the side loading container. Look at this: The trailer can simply have 3 knobs that control 3 pairs of LAs in the back. The sets that have gearbox and are PF upgradable generally have only two functions, while this type of trailer has 3 functions. There could be the possibility that the cranes just use 1 pair of LAs and push through scissor lift structure though. On the other hand, if it turns out to have built in PF I think it will be similar to the 42043 B model, with 4 functions: 2 of the cranes, 1 of the outriggers, 1 of the lending legs. However, given that this trailer is in a smaller scale than the 42043 B model trailer, I don't think this second possibility is very likely. Â
