It's probably just the angle or the light, but it almost looks like new tyres on 42079... Seems like more rounded sides than regular tyres.

No, it must be the light.

It also seems to use the 42043 gear rack on the boom.

For engine - it looks to me like V8

I was wondering were people see 5th pair at first too, but then I noticed that it is there but mostly hidden.

Yes it is, only light bluish gray. I was hoping for black one but i guess I have to satisfy with black frame 5 x 7...

Unusual to have V10 on machinery and also uncovered :sceptic:

So far it looks that LEGO has no idea what to make as B model of forklift because there is no 2in1 sign on the box. Seriosely; so far we know that forklift has steering, usual lifting and tilting forks, but under dark blue panels there could be fake engine...forklifts have small engine (except the ones with tires bigger than driver). At least 62.4 tires have returned

After having seen the images, I have to say I don't understand what all the fuss is about. They seem like nice sets, sure, especially the first two, but given the enthousiasm I expected more somehow.

42079 (forklift). Seems like a very nice set. Good to see a forklift again, and I like the modest size.
42080 (forest harvester). Also a nice model. Good to see pneumatics again; however I expect only 2 pneumatic functions. The green is that from 42008 by the way.
42081 (volvo autonomous). Is this serious? It looks like a TC12 entry. Let's see what functions it will offer. It will have to make up for looks somehow.
42082 (rough terrain crane). Looks great, but I really wonder what will justify the ginormous size (if anything...). Also, the outriggers and walls are too small.

The crane must be at least 4x4x4, with 3 steering modes. I think the outriggers could be better but maybe the steering modes steal too much room, all of this being very realistic.

Woah, woah, woah, calm down.

I think it is dark blue also. So that leaves you on the dark side! :classic: And for you, most way the best black is very very dark blue!

Its black at 100%

It’s blue. I didn’t believe him at first but then I checked again and he’s right

Rough Terrain cranes usually steer independantly on each axle, front by the steering wheel and rear by a switch, not like a telehandler ;-)

I checked on two high quality screens, its black. On my amoled mobile phone its even more obvious. There is no shade differences between the back of the cab and the rear panels. Not doubt about it:hmpf_bad:

So even if you think that it's blue, it does not make it a reality, its blacky black:grin:

Those new red 7L dog bones everyone’s hyped about on 40282... I think they’re just 5L dog bones.

The blurry image combined with the perspective of the red panels makes them look 5x11, but I think they might only be 3x11. The ends of the dog bones are too thick in relation to the long bit.

I think it's a reflection of something blue and the panel is actually black. The vertical beam of the cabin right next to the panel is certainly black, but the side of the beam has a similar color tint like the black-or-blue panel. There should have been a blue light source or something being reflected in the panels when they took the prelim image.

im not going to argue with you, wait until the set comes out and you get a few dark blue panels from the forklift.

But the side view in the top right corner also clearly shows dark blue

I've gotta say it does look like that panel is blue, but I'm with the light/reflection/ crappy image thing - it's just going to look odd with a blue panel there....

Ahh the image I've seen is not in any way to see any more than a blur of that
