Davdup Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 (edited) Hi! Here is my rendition of the Battlestar Galactica Colonial Viper MkII. The model is 55cm long, made of 2696 parts. The canopy can be sled open, and the landing gears are retractable, just like the real one! :) There is also a display stand: You can see high res pictures here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsm1djZ7U I propose the building instructions for 10EUR (268pages pdf files, including the ready-to-print sticker sheet, part list and detailed step-by-step building process). Drop me an email to get all the details! So Say We All! David Edited August 22, 2017 by Davdup Embedded pictures and added description Quote
BrickbyBrickTechnic Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 Wow! This is simply beautiful! Quote
PaddyBricksplitter Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Cool! That must of taken a long time to design and build, well done. Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 I'm very impressed by this design, though I'm no way a fan of the reboot series - the original Viper is still my favorite. Brick On with The Lords Of Kobol ! Quote
peedeejay Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Nailed it! The shaping is just wonderful. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Gorgeous, smooth and huge! Stunning work and exquisite style. Beautiful. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Evil Porkchop Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Absolutely amazing, will you be doing a Mk VII and/or a Raptor? Quote

MkVII Viper is not on py plans yet... I might give it a try, but I am not really a fan of the design... Raptor is great too, but there are already quite good MOCs of it out there... Next MOC (if BSG related!) would most probably be a Cylon Raider... but again, the design of these raider is a LEGO-nightmare: not a single straight line!!! Quote
Davdup Posted October 9, 2017 Author Posted October 9, 2017 Think I've come to something with the Cylon Raider... Stay tuned! ;) Quote
Hunter003 Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 Last bricklink order arrived this morning so ill be starting the Viper this weekend. First windscreen that I ordered in 'good condition' looked like it had been used to shovel grit for 3 years Will try and post some pics of the build process and the final result Loving the Cylon Raider........will go nicely with the Viper should you release the instructions. Davdup Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 Great to see another Viper joining the fleet soon! ;) And of course the instructions will be available for the Cylon! Just a few more weeks needed to finalize all this... Quote
Captain_Quinn Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 David, you're gonna send me into bankruptcy if you keep putting out designs like these :P Quote
Hunter003 Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 (edited) The build is going well so far. Its a lot bigger than I thought! Such a pleasant change building in white rather than grey all the time........ Edited December 2, 2017 by Hunter003 Quote
Diablo667 Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Amazing MOC! Just a question (mainly out of curiosity) - how much will be the total numbers of parts needed in this MOC? Thanks for answer. Quote
