Ivan_M Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 (edited) Hi everyone, I would like to present my latest creation. It started by building this loader: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-0400/JaapTechnic/komatsu-wa320-5/#comments by JaapTechnic and it was very inspiring because the model is quite old and it just reminds you how many parts were introduced and how many new possiblities are opened. So before jumping to another nice loader I decided to create my own drivetrain leaving nice bodywork that I liked. So the rear bumper, engine cover and partly cabin is work of JaapTechnic, the rest is purely done by me. The whole thing is powered by L motor with final reduction 7:1, steering is also by L motor geared by 1:2,8 for faster steering. Bucket is operated by two M motors. I'm particullarly proud that the whole build is very sturdy, all gears are supported from both sides and all moving parts are system locked. The one thing that is bothering me a little is gearing to bucket - while the two LA for lifting are geared 1:1 the one LA for bucket emtying is geared by 3:1 so it is much slower. Otherwise everything works perfect. Why on earth is it blue?? Because I have only blue in sufficient quantity Lastly I really like making instructions, last time I did it I had quite fun so it was no brainer this time. BrickbyBrickTechnic Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Awesome! How did you have fun making instructions? I'd rather be building something new! Quote
jorgeopesi Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 It looks like Komatsu wheel loaders like a lot, Lego, Jaap and me have one with instructions, nice colours. Quote

Of course, I mention it above - the bodywork is mostly from Jaap because what is good doesn't have to change Quote
