Thanks, that's actually one of the reasons why I chose yellow and black - as they contrast very well, with both themselves, and the white background.

I'm going to leave it manual, the hull is already too full, and I would also need to add another receiver, as I have already used all the outputs on the other two.

Days 37+38: I started work on the motorized lifting mechanism again (it seems to work quite well!), and made a short video of it (without tank attached).

Day 39: More work on lifting mechanism - building the hull around it, fitting it between the tracks.

Day 40: Built scorpion tail (with cannon attached!), some more work on tank hull and engine. (see photo in post above)

Day 41 (today): I put all the major components together (tracks, lift mechanism, engine, and tail), and this is what I came up with: (and yes, the V10 is back again!)

 

And I think is starting to look very much like the drawing (minus the mouth/eyes, and the space for the driver)... what do you think?

 

Your creation is taking shape, but I suggest to use panels instead of bricks on body, or use two thin plates between bricks to make it stiffer at the and of building process

Yes, maybe... But I was thinking of using some slopes - to give it a more banana-like appearance.

That looks cool, but I can't see how it's supposed to hit other vehicles as the arm seems a bit short for that?

I like the concept though :)

It doesn't - it aims (with the tail), and then shoots them!

I was thinking lime green.

Also, I just had an idea, once I have finished, I should make photos of it in even more colours! (red, blue, or maybe even pink!)

It's probably time for an update...

 

Day 42-45: Completely rebuilt hull, extended the whole tank by two studs and shrunk the engine down to V8 so I could fit in the PF receivers

Day 46: I started to shape the hull with some slopes (to make it more like a banana), added some stud-shooters. 

As you may have noticed, the tracks are not attached - this is because they are currently in pieces...

Day 47 (today): I needed some parts, so I put in a Bricklink order - which I'm now waiting for...

 

Now, a quick question about the front of the tank: Should I keep the printed slope, or change it to a plain one?

That's great! I was looking for a way to relate my vehicle to the game, and I've now found it (almost by accident...) I will definitely be keeping the printed slope - and adding some more!

Now I just need to find a new driver... (which is good - because the banana guy couldn't sit down)

I'm FINISHED!!!!

 

And here is the update: (I know, I should have updated it sooner, but I wanted to keep it as a surprise )

 

Day 48: I started looking for a new driver, and found one in the form of a Tiger! (this one)

Days 49-52: Continued shaping the hull, built a spot for the driver, and added even more stud-shooters!

Day 53: I decided that I needed another wacky function, and I realized that I could use the V8 to power it, and managed to squeeze in a small spinning sweeper.

Day 54: My Bricklink order finally arrived, so I was able to finish the shaping of the hull, and rebuild the tracks - which means I'm now finished building!!!

Now I just need to make the video...

I had that feeling with the tractor portion of the Saddletrac  because its something I wanted to build as soon as I saw the 42054 set. One o the best feelings in the world!

I just changed the hue of the yellow. Like this: Colors -> Hue-Saturation -> tick the color you want to change (limited) -> move the slider to change the hue.
